plus a Nash/Dwight pnr would be lethal, with shooters spread all over the floor. With dwights improved passing i think anderson would put up closer to 20 ppg and jrich would move back up towards 17ppg. JJ and meer would most likely be dealt along with harper and a 1st round pick. That means wafer would be backup sg and duhon backing up pg so it comes with drawbacks.

If only Dudley's contract was 3 years instead of 5. I don't think I'd take Childress. Too much money and too many years, at least Dudley is only 4.25 for 5 years. He can defend.

If we could land Nash, without giving up Anderson That would be awesome. JJ would most likely be gone... which is sad. It would be nice to hold onto Jameer, just because Steve is going to retire soon, and he needs more rest this season. We can't depend on Duhon as our only backup.

Oh hell yes. Not only will the PnR game with Dwight be superb, but Anderson is going to be money with someone like Nash setting him up.

I really don't see why anyone would be opposed to this. Nash has played more games than Jameer the last two years and he is back to averaging 15 points, 10 assists on 50% FG and 40% 3PT. Those are outstanding numbers for someone who is playing with another corpse like himself (Grant Hill) and a bunch of scrubs.

Even if it doesnt pan out, at least we gave ourselves a fighting chance. There is really no way we are going to retain Dwight by standing pat because the chances of THIS roster winning a ship are slim to none.

Say we trade for Nash, what happens to Turk and his role on this team?

Would you do it?

I personally feel if we're the ones trading Dwight, why do we also give up 2 good players to help that team succeed with Dwight?

I don't really understand why Wafer being a backup sg is a problem.

If we do

JJ
Jameer
Harper
1st

for

Nash
Dudley

we have to take it, we improve substantially and nash walks at the end of the year if it doesn't work. Phx receives a solid package and send nash out nicely to an eastern conference contender, depends what other teams are offering though but I hope something like this happens

nash could be the defibrillator to j-rich's corpse

Any package for Nash starts with Anderson, and I doubt Phoenix believes we have the assets period. They can get a better deal elsewhere, most likely.

We won't get him unless he specifically asks them to trade him here

How fast does the Suns' ship have to sink before he asks for one?

Regarding Hedo...

Cut Nash and Hedo's minutes, they're both playing too many, and they would only play together sparingly.

Nash/J-Rich/Dudley or Q Rich/Anderson/Howard
Duhon/Wafer/Hedo/Davis/Howard

and/or
Duhon/Wafer/Hedo or Q Rich/Anderson/Davis (if we still don't get a backup C)

Final half of the 4th Q lineup- Nash/J-Rich/Turk/Anderson/Howard

I think Suns would require to send us Childress and he has a very bad contract, but if they only require getting Dudley i'd make it happen in a heartbreak. For Childress i'd have to think a lot.

JJ + Nelson + Harper + Orton for Nash + Dudley/Childress

Not worth it unless we decide we can't afford Anderson's new contract.

i don't think Nash is that kind of guy though. from all reports he's a high character dude, who will honour his contract and finish it up, then go sign with a ring chaser for vet min, most likely.

that's very likely. or, if the Magic think Anderson will be much more ineffective without Dwight and won't justify the contract he'll command this summer.

i agree completely that a deal for Nash involves Anderson. but, if we're lucky, they might send Frye back in return.

lol, btw, i'm not stalking you, you're just talkin about the interesting stuff.

my Nash proposal:

UTA: Nelson + JRich
PHX: Harris + Anderson + CJ Miles
ORL: Nash + Frye + Bell

Dwight
Frye/BBD
Turk/Q
JJ/Von/Bell
Nash/Blake*

(do a second trade of Duhon for Steve Blake - throw in whatever 1st's you have to to make it happen - lottery protected)

Of course i would want to make a run at Nash but it seems unlikely...Harris seems attainable and he might be a better fit for this team at this time....Harris is still pretty fast and we never had that kind of speed at the PG position before....Although he is only a decent 3pt shooter he can still attack the rim...His passing ability is on par with Jameer's but i think Harris's vision is a bit better...I like his 6"3 Frame(nh) and he has a decent wingspan...I like his Speed the most and figure he can push the pace...Much like when Felton was Swapped for Andre Miller...Felton is a push the pace PG....With Felton Staring Portland went from the bottom of the barrel when it came to fastbreak points now they're one of the best fastbreak teams....

I think Harris could have a Skip-like effect on our squad and make it contagious to run...I don't hate Nelson at all but maybe we need to go in another direction...we're still here hoping that Nelson becomes the player he was when all signs are pointing to that the Nelson we want may be gone....
