I'm with you. In life, hard times separate the real from the fake. It's easy to be with the team when times are good. True fans stick with the team through the thick and thin. Been a fan for over 30 years. Longer than many here have been on this earth, and I'll be here when many of these turncoats move on to root for the Nets or whoever else.
Time for the team to turn this around and send the cowards back into their holes.

I see you write this all the time, all the while implying that you're a bigger than others because you "root" for this team.

Nobody cares who or what you root for and how long you have rooted for it.

I've been a fan for over 20 years. Do you see me mentioning how much better of a fan I am?

A fan is a fan. If people have been sitting here through the Isiah years they sure as hell are real fans. To imply they aren't because they don't like what has transpired in the last 12 months is a sham and a mockery. It's a shamockery.

Not liking the state of the team has absolutely nothing to do with it. Rooting against the team or hoping the opposition has a big game is exactly what we don't need. Could care less with how you fell about that.

This is the final straw for me.. I thought the Bucks game was, but if this team shows no heart/or care again, it'll be my final straw. i won't root against the Knicks, ever, but I will stop watching until I hear that they turned it around. I'm tired of caring more then they seem to, why care if they don't? I understand its an offensive system, and everything but I just don't understand how you can't just go out there and play basketball... Our offense looked better the first game after the Melo trade then it looked tonight.. sure we lost Purp, but that doesn't f*ck up the whole offense, we still have Landry Fields and Toney DOuglas, and we added Bibby, and even Novak...

That being said, I'm a diehard, and I can't help but feel like this is setting us up for a nice win streak, excercise our demons, and come away with a win and break out of this funk. anyone remember when LeBron first get back to play against Cleveland ? The Heat were 9-8, playing terrible ball and seemed lost but THAT game, it was a blown-out win and James killed the Cavs single-handedly, after that game its like LBJ has had unlocked himself from something and The Heat started playing like they're supposed to after that game.

We definitely need something to break this streak of piss poor play. This is as good a game as any to get some momentum.

And their job is to compete at all times, and motivate each other by any means through leadership.

Whether they have tuned the coach out or not they still should not be performing like this.

They aren't playing together and the team isn't playing together.

Watching Melo get into Jennings face in frustration, then getting ejected, and watching Amar'e with the towel on his head the last two minutes, ala Marbury, was the low moment that will either cement this team to doom if they truly have no heart, or they come out of it like soldiers and lay to ruins everyone in their way.

Last nite was a low I have never seen a team go through personally, because they are not that bad.

I said this team was a contender, and I still believe that.

Now that they have hit rock bottom, it's time to pick up the pieces and get it right.

I think they can do it.

It starts tonite, it just has to.

Tonight will be the first time i can see the Knicks this season, from what i read on this board thats been a good thing

I thought adding a great C would have magically turned this team a contender but doesnt seem true lookin at all your feelings guys.

Real problems will come from free candy, playin great ball lately (lookin at stats), and lawson palyin against no-one

Chandler imo will be THE factor, Nuggs cant match him and w/o nene they are not so good in the paint... if only we could deploy a true PG...

This game will be the impetus and catalyst for at least 6 bannings. Ty Lawson will destroy us, and somehow Gallo and Mozgov will get credit for his all-star level play. There literally isn't a PG in the 2009 draft that ended up getting drafted in the 1st we could have drafted that wouldn't have worked out for us, but instead we drafted the undersized non-elite athlete F/C with terrible hands, a mediocre jump-shot and no production until his junior year in college. The only PG that sucked in that draft was Flynn and we couldn't even draft him. Holliday, Lawson, Teague, Collison, Maynor, or Jennings.

We're going to end up like the Atlanta Hawks if Baron isn't the answer. Marvin Williams over Cp3/D-Will, Jordan Hill over 1/6 of the starting PG's in the league.

No matter how you look at it. The Nuggets got better after the Melo trade. It looks even worse if you're saying the players they got aren't all that great and they just got better by dumping Melo. Either way, Melo doesn't come out looking too great.

Getting rid of Billups had much more of an impact improving the Nuggets than getting rid of Melo.

Wait a minute.... Melo had 6 first round playoff exits until Billups came to the Nuggets and took him to the WCFs in 2009. Chauncey has been in the playoffs every year since 2001 and 7 straight CFs. So your are WRONG about Chauncey.

Absolutely. Hard asses like me may have been lobbying to get this coach canned, but it the real change has to come from the players. They need a good coach badly (and a PG), but we still to have hold them accountable.

The max cats have to earn their keep. They have to step up. They have to lead. They have to be a team and it starts with them.

The fans are fighting over issues, but I think every fan owes it to themselves to hold these guys to higher standards and stop making apologies for them. They've got less than ideal circumstances, but they are paid the big bucks to do their job and there have been criticisms about their approach to the game.

Stat and Melo need to come together. Tyson has delivered his end of the bargain so far, but that is not enough.

Yup, that's why I didn't really put Chandler into it because I think he has done his job overall, although I expect him to help in the leadership.

This team is losing because of bad coaching, but also because the leaders are not leading.

As a fan of this team, it has to start tonite.

That catlyst has to be Melo, then Amar'e, then Tyson in that order, but collectively they need to get it together.

I think they will win tonite in a blazing fashion or they will flame out and not recover.
