You can see Melo in that iso is always looking for a crosscourt pass if it's open, or the guy at the top, he's not just holding it to hold it.

No coach in the league can do that. Read Phil Jackson's book about how he was afraid Kobe wouldn't listen to him.

A coach who is one a couple year contract making a couple million has very little he can do to leverage a player that has a max deal over 6 or 7 years. One is a small cost to replace, one is a big cost. So if Coach A pisses off Player B, he is ****. He is far cheaper to replace. Players have a lot of leverage in that scenario.
