Meanwhile Shumpert took 16 shots to get 17 points. Hes been one of the most inefficient players in the league. Settling for jumpers. Not getting to the line. Im not gonna get on him much b/c hes still a baby but I want to see this guy attack the paint.

The others are employed by other teams. The only coach available on that list is Phil Jackson, which you claim can play hardball with players. Are you even reading the posts you reply to? Pharmcat said there are few coaches that will play hardball with players. You made a list in reply. The first guy on your list was fired for not getting along with a star. Step 1: Think. I never said anything about the other coaches. My post was about Phil. Just admit you have no idea what you're talking about and move on.

???? HUH? so now Phil Jackson can play hardball? After you mentioned him as a counter to me providing a list of coaches that can play hardball?

What you're doing is called spinning in circles.

Gallo's a good player. Karl is utilizing him much better that D'Antoni.I wish him luck in Denver.

I know you hate Melo because of your precious avatar photo and that's fine, could care less.

Just find it totally ridiculous that someone would stoop as low as you to dis a player family too.

Bad news guys, the Knicks are gonna win like 10 in a row now and save D'Antoni's job for this season.

Sorry to disappoint.

BJ Mullens will put on a SOTN of the century.

27 points
9 rebounds
4 assists
10/18 shooting

BJ Mullens and Knicks board phenom Bismack Biyombo with 30 blocks. Don't ask why, he's Dwight Howard II.

only saw from the mid-3rd quarter on but the central knick problem is isolation ball and predictability. you can't just keep feeding carmelo the ball every time you need a bucket because the odds are against him that he will convert every time. it is just common sense.

is it a chicken or egg thing? my take is that it is on your best player to be best at making others better and carmelo just doesn't have the will to do that, and perhaps not the ability either. i never blame the teammates for missing shots because anybody who has played competitively understands the importance of rhythm and flow of an offense. stagnation leads to thinking and thinking leads to bricking. but if the ball is moving and your best players are making the right decisions the result will be synergy. the knicks are underachieving because our best players are not playing the right way.

meanwhile gallinari is a 6'10" version of ginobili with a dash of pierce. a nightmare player. 18-20 from the line and almost 50% from the field and he defends the position with gusto? yikes. he registered a monstrous 66.5% TS% he was the essence of efficiency and efficiency translates to winning. not volume scoring-- efficiency.

melo? he registered a 38.3 TS% tonight. the very essence of inefficiency.

finally denver had no afflalo, no andersen, no fernandez and still prevailed.

Melo was pretty bad except in crunch time (Its what he do!). Pass when doubled/tripled. He can't be initiating the offense. Get a point Grun!

Positives: Tyson, Landry & Shump were good. And Billy when he played!

Amare was invisible late(combination of Dantoni, Melo and Amare for that tonight)

Good game for Gallo, and Free Candy lol.

Tough loss

the knicks win if carmelo doesn't shoot the 3 pointer and goes for the 2 points in the final seconds of the 4th quarter

No, I am not better than this.. why should I be? all I know is what is happening now and it sucks...

I know it sucks, but Melo's injured, I don't understand why if he shot "30-30" and we won the game why'd you dislike him. He's a good player, his injured wrist is f*cking up his shot. He is truly trying to pass more, he is averaging a career high in assists, in a slower pace offense, in which he has to try and get them when players just sit and stand still when he has the ball. Amar'e isn't helping either, Amar'e should be able to take advantage of Melo being double.. yet he isn't. And thats the thing, Amar'e if he was playing well, would also cause teams to hesitate about doubling Melo.. and Melo 1 on 1 (When healthy) is deadly. I truly understand your frustrations, but the team isn't helping Melo look good either. Think about... look how good we looked when our bench/role players were hitting the shots they are supposed to hit.. once Toney and Billy stopped hitting their shots, we looked so bad again. Either we need to hope they get out of the funk, or try to get Novak in the rotation because at least he can hit the three consistently. Amar'e needs to step up, we can't put everything on an injured Melo to play hero ball everynight. Its a good thing Landry is stepping up because he is helping with while Amar'e is playing like garbage. Amar'e didn't have a "pass-first" point guard last season.. especially after the Melo trade, yet he didn't look this bad on offense.. he needs to man up already. Chauncey barely, if at all set up Amar'e last year.. so I don't think the PG thing is really a problem.. granted Baron will help Amar'e look AMAZING, I don't think Amar'e should look like a scrub when he doesn't have a PG.

I just don't like selfish players... selfish people.. he strikes me as both... He is not playing well and really the knicks have not been consistently playing well since he has been here, and I thought that was the reason for us making the trade... I am sorry, but I am cutting no slack here..

The refs bailed him out....18 ft's are you kidding me?

While everyone will be mesmorized by his stat line the guy that really killed us was Al Harrington.

Gallo shot 3 Threes FYI. Melo shot 7.

funny how fans call it wild floaters.. LOL... also he actually pulled up and drained a jumper, off the dribble in jeffries face I think.... the refs didn't bail him out.. the knicks did.. over and over, and over again.. lets face it, if you are a talented and smart player, you can own the knicks.. Gallo is both, which is why I loved his game so much.. he did this to other teams as well when he was with the knicks.... his game allowed amare to do his thing without interruption, allowed fields to do his thing... to try to knock his game now is crazy... I would love to have those wild floaters back on this team right now..

Gallo is efficient. Melo is not. Gallo got 12 more points with 10 less FGA. The flopping comments are gripes, but not a valid criticism. Drawing fouls is a skill.

Gotta admit he gets his chuck on, but it isn't his fault.

That's what he was told to work on right after the draft.

Gallo was the player of the game though, refs treated him like a superstar tonite with 18 free throws.

This has to be enough to get D'antoni fired.

knicks are dumb, they are stupid and they foul everyone... gallo did this when he was with the knicks.. too bad, he was never given a larger role in the offense...

moron coach

moron owner

moron players...

This game was hilarious... again... this is why you don't make such trades, for guys like melo.. News flash.. HE AINT THAT GOOD YALL....

TKF You're better than this, and you're certainly smart enough to realize Melo isn't going to shoot 10-30, if he shot 14-30 we win this game, sorry bro but you're a joke when you make posts like the one above.

Guys reasons like today is why we should never overrate our players. Talk about the best front court in the league and we're frign 6-10 right now lol . This is sad especially considering we've had one of the weakest schedules in the league. Sigh lets hope they right this ship soon or D'Antoni is about to be outtt

I do like to say one thing. Stop the booing. Im not even a knicks fan and that made me upset. Yelling pass pass. Thats not helping ya guys at all. Would you want someone doing that to you while you're playing. I understand frustrating, but dont make things even more complicated

Good game, I guess

No problem with voicing your opinion about how the team suck, but to constantly comparing us to another team is very annoying.

Now, with that said, I believe in Melo and this team, and will hold judgement until the end of the season. But, Melo has been awful this past few games, however i contribute you this to the wrist (shots are short) and frustration. He need to watch film, work on ball movement and clear his head.

HEY! You pipe down. This WAS Gallo vs. Melo in an actual game, not some theoretical comparison. Gallo owned Melo and you don't need to talk about the trade when the game did it for us.

and that's the frustrating thing about this, we all saw gallinari was more than just a three point shooter but d'antoni just restricted his talents and made him a bail out three point shooter.

He can talk all he wants. If Melo wants to iso, Melo is going to iso.

There was a play where Melo had the ball and Amare was in post position expecting a pass but Melo told him to move and missed a jumper going one on one. But a good coach won't put up with this B.S. and would bench Melo be in his ear about it. But regardless we would have won if we didn't switch on defense, but that's D'antoni for you.

What does getting in his ear do if you aren't going to bench him?
