Thunder @ Nets
Looking forward to see how we rebound the ball after getting embarrassed the other night. Also anxious to watch Westbrook.

I'll be at the game tonight. My lone Thunder experience for the season most likely!

Nice. Sounds like we'll have good representation. I'll be in attendance from the couch.

You're from Jersey slick?

Defensive rebounding still stinks, but good defense otherwise.
Albeit it is the Nets.

The plus side is we only gave up 74 points.
The downsides are we only scored 84 and we gave up 16 offensive rebounds.

Wow we need our two front court to GRAB SOME OFFENSIVE REBOUNDS! They need to go back to boxing out 101

Re: Thunder @ Nets
great team defense tonight, and although we gave up too many offensive rebounds still, I thought our effort level in that area was much better.

Generally I would say defensive rebounds are about boxing out and offensive rebounds are about effort. Certainly all rebounding involves both, but generally the defender has the better positioning, so it comes down to how well defender boxes out to how well offensive player works to get around it. That's just my opinion of course, but lack of offensive rebounds doesn't necessarily = poor boxing out. There's also a certain element of strategy that seems to be coming into it... Our perimeter guys seem to leak out a lot for fast breaks, whereas a year or two ago we worried more about securing the rebound.

Nah, I spend a couple months of the year in NY for work. Normally I try to catch a game at MSG but since we're not playing there I hiked it out to the Prudential Center...
I agree with wiz re: the rebounding. The effort and energy is often good but it is not always applied intelligently... when you have two guys flying out to contest a shot, leaving a guy unblocked for an offensive rebound, you're not playing good basketball even though your 'effort' is good...
