Trade with the Wizards
Would Miami do Andray Blatche and Jordan Crawford for Mike Miller and Norris Cole? Just wondering. I know the Heat need bigs, and the Wiz need a shooter. Seems far on paper?

Re: Trade with the Wizards
I actually don't know why the Wizards would do it. Yeah Cole has potential but he's been up and down and would be playing behind Wall.
Mike has quite a few years remaining on his contract and is an injury concern - if he's healthy the rest of this year perhaps he sheds the title.
If I'm a Wizards fan, I wouldn't want his contract or him playing ahead of younger guys, especially since you're not in win-now mode.
I'm intrigued by Blatche though. A bone head, but perhaps with a veteran team he would find his niche.

No thanks, we are pretty much perfect depth and talent-wise at all positions except for center somewhat. Those two guys would be third stringers on this team, and we don't need their large contracts.

uhhh. blatche does nothing but chuck shots. He doesnt have the size, heart, or game to play center for the miami heat. We have joel anthony, who might be limited offensively, tries hard on every play and actually PLAYS DEFENSE. Blatche also likes to talk a lot of ****, then not walk the walk. He is like anti-miami heat. No thanks

I watch a lot of Wizards games, and god no to Blatche. You should try watching him finish, it's pathetic how little lift he gets lol. He's primarily a jumpshooter now. Crawford, on the other hand, just takes garbage shots.
You can see by the way they play that they both have talent, but that's not what we need. We need the opposite: guys who know their roles well and play to their abilities.

McGee puts up really nice stats and stuff, but he's a TERRIBLE defender. He can block shots well, but I've never seen a guy like him who is so clueless on D.
No doubt he has a ton of potential and will improve, but no.

Re: Trade with the Wizards
Blatche can be coached. That's my honest opinion as someone who's followed the progress of the Wizards as a result of an online friend. He's a Wizards fan, so we talk a lot about each other's team. I have a strong belief that the Wizards are plagued by poor coaching. Wall was a legit ROTY runner-up who was a top-prospect who commits far too many turnovers. He can be coached. Blatche can be coached. Whenever you see a team like the Wiz and Hawks, who have great athletic talent, but don't perform well that they are a by-product of poor coaching. Flip Saunders has never been a good coach, and has never gotten respect from his players. He is the first problem with the Wizards. Fix him and the team takes a whole, new turn.
I think I'd trade for Blatche, but not for Crawford. I look at Cole and see a kid who is gonna be a stud in this league. People see him as a solid role guy, at best, but I see a stud in waiting. He gets to the rim so well, it's understated. He isn't finishing well, right now, but he's such a smart kid that you'd be foolish to bet against him. He will learn to finish those layups and floaters, and then we'll be looking at a Tony Parker style PG who can score and serve his teammates. I think Jordan Crawford has hit his peak as a player. On a team where everyone goes for theirs, he hasn't shown enough.
IMO, Blatche+Crawford for Miller+Joel would be fair. I wouldn't want to give up Cole for Crawford or Blatche. Likewise, I don't think the Wizards need another PG when Wall is building for the future. If they let him go, then forget about that franchise. Wall and McGee are the two best players on that team, as far as potential is concerned. Nick Young is the best overall player, but he's pretty much shown what he can do. I would trade him and get a forward and then fire Flip and grab a coach. I don't think we have anything useful to offer them, so I think they're better off looking elsewhere.
The Wizards have to be looking to move Nick Young and Andrey Blatche, but I don't think we have the personnel they need to make either of those trades work. PEACE.

There is no way Pat Riley trades for Blatche. Let alone using Norris Cole to do it.
