Maybe everyone is making too much out of the offensive game.

N.Y, giants is 2nd in total defence and N.E is 4th in total defence

out of all the teams in the playoffs

detroit was last #12 in defence out of all playoff teams .detroit should use all draft picks for defence this coming year.

Where are you getting these numbers? I'm no stat junkie, but a quick search shows NE's pass defense wasa half yard per game from last and, IIRC, historically bad. Not great against the run or in PPG allowed either. They were in fact 31/32 in yards given up in the league. Giants gave up a bunch of yards and points too.

While I agree that D is important, and that especially NY's defense is better than the numbers advertise, this seems to contradict your point pretty strongly

Sounds like defense stats from the playoffs only based on how they performed in the playoffs as an average per game?

Also, all the teams that statistically choked the most have been eliminated.
