Is it time to trade Crabtree? His playoffs stats don't show up in the top 40 receivers stats. That means he had 3 or less catches in 2 playoff games.

His season stats were a respectable 72 catches for 874 yards, with a 12.4 avg., and 4 touchdowns as the primary number one option on the outside.

First a little history, held out when he was first drafted, has missed portions if not all of training camp since drafted, and his attitude is always a concern.

He should be traded to make room for a possible free agent like Dwayne Bowe, Pierre Gacon, Robert Meacham, Marques Colston,or maybe even Vincent Jackson. All true threats down field.

It means no more eight man fronts, doubling Vernon Davis, and a home run threat that can stretch the field.

Crabtree could be traded to Houston who is looking for a starter next to Andre Johnson for a 3rd rounder. Josh Morgan should be resigned. And finally adding more depth in the draft, hopefully multiple picks.

i think crabs could thrive as a 2-3 option, we need a star WR though so he can be a boldin type player when he was behind fitz

I think we had this debate midseason. I think that his trade value would be lower than his value on the field. I agree that we need a better number 1 though.

Crabtree isn't a #1 receiver for a good team, a #2 maybe, but probably a #3 for a solid receiver core...the fact that SF's considers him our #1 guy shows how weak the 49ers WR group truly is.

I'd be willing to trade him just to try and shake things up at this point.

His value to other teams isn't going to be that high for all of the reasons why you guys feel that he's expendable. Other teams see that, too.
