When a GM fires one coach you can use the coach as the scapegoat. When a GM fires two coaches in 3 years how can he go unscathed? If Ted's going to roll out of the tanning booth to fire Flip he had better make it a dual lay-off...

I think its early enough in the season where yo can bring an outsider in. You may need Wittman or Sam to interim for a few games but there's plenty of time to let a coach in and evaluate when he has the rest of this season. I was anti-Larry Brown for a while but someone like him who'll bring discipline and accountability to the team might be just whet we need.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Bring in Larry Brown to replace Ernie and Mark Jackson to replace Flip?

I'd actually be intrigued by Kareem. There was a time I'd a said no way, but now for some reason it seems to me it could be a good fit.

For that matter, what about Patrick Ewing? The guy is downright desperate to coach, is a G'Town legend, and learned from John Thompson and Pat Riley.

I've heard quite a few stories about Ewing lacking focus as an assistant coach. I don't know if he takes the job seriously enough to be worth looking into as more than a big man coach.

I noticed on the poll that Reggie Theus is not listed. He's got more experience than Laimbeer or Cassell. Theus had success in his first season with the Kings and with coaching New Mexico.

I like Theus because I think might be good for Wall. Theus was a big guard who can score and pass. I also think he's a bit charismatic, like EJ was. I don't want another negative coach. After Joerger and Jeff Van Gundy, I like Theus over Laimbeer.
The Wizards shoukd have drafted Derik Queen

I told you so :banghead:

I think if the change is this season, Cassell would be the best choice on an interim basis. If the players have improved and the team looks better, then he deserves consideration as the coach long term. If it is more of the same, then the team will have a good draft pick and can look for a new coach.

If they do that, I would go with Randy instead.

Bumping for our 2-13 lovable losers...
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!

Pre-emptive bump for the team that cannot shoot straight

Larry Brown. For the lulz and rebuild. Well, he would stop chuckers from chucking at least.

doc.end, I've always wanted to ask, who's that hilarious guy swiping the pen? It's probably someone I should know?

yes. Way too late. People want a defensive coach or someone strict who will get the most out of those guys but the most important thing to me is find a coach with a system that Wall can dominate in. Hopefully you can find all of that in one coach but its unlikely. Wall is the Franchise and we will go as far as he takes us. Get him in a running, pick & roll system

In total, Wittman has a career record as head coach of 100-207 (.326). According to Basketball-Reference's coach register, of the 99 coaches with at least 300 games under their belt, only three -- Sidney Lowe, Tim Floyd and Ron Rothstein -- have lower winning percentages than Wittman.
