Picks. Your own first rounder and Bulls and Nuggets second rounders (IIRC correctly what you have) or something liek that. Filler to make salaries work with contract expiring no longer than next year. Unless it is a young player on rookie contract or something.

Re: DJ Augustin?
Well if we are doing what I WANT then I would gladly exchange Lebron James for DJ Augustin. If we are doing what realistically could happen then I want a sh*t load of lotto picks coupled with a expiring contract.

Re: DJ Augustin?
More than one lottery pick for him is totally out of the question. If we could get more than one lottery pick for him Jordan would personally go and pack Augustins stuff up himself and put him on his private plane out of here immediately.

With the lack of PG depth at the 1 in this years draft I could see some super desperate teams such as the Lakers, Raptors, and such perhaps making a move for him at the cost of a pick.

Re: DJ Augustin?
Well I couldn't envisioned that but with lakers being on non-playoff spot right now, they would even need to protect their pick if it would be send to us. Who would expect that. I know they would get better with DJ, but he is yet to come from injured toe, so it would take some time. In Cho I trust what else we have...

Re: DJ Augustin?
DJ would be a perfect fit with the Lakers too, a guy who can distribute the ball effectively and who can nail the open shot....

something along those lines would work for me.
using dj to get rid of tyrus seems like a good play at this point in time.

Re: DJ Augustin?
Don't you also have the Dallas pick?
Don't want to sound greedy but an unprotected Lakers pick is just not that exciting because you know its going to be a late one. Dallas will be a late one as well, but I would want both picks to be happy.
Contract wise its not easy doing a deal with you guys, as most of your players have years left that we won't want. Dj & TT for Walton, TPE and 2 firsts work according to the trade checker. But I would hope we could get a better offer for Dh.
**EDIT: I need to post faster

Re: DJ Augustin?
Mavs have the final say when the pick will be send to Lakers (or anyone getting it via them). It is top 20 protected but they have an option when in 2012-2017 period they would send it. That's why it is not that attractive.
Salary wise McRoberts is closest to DJ, I would rather prefer a guard coming back. I wouly gladly take both Morris and Goudelock but realistically it is not going to happen as we receiving more players thena sending away would mean cutting Cory Higgins and i doubt his father would signed that off. It depends whether it would be just DJ or multiplayers deal.
Pieces you have:
LAL first 2012 (or any other year but naturally it should be 2012)
DAL first
CHI 2012 second
LAL 2013 second
MEM 2013 second (that's top 55 so it is going to turn out as nothing, not really interested)
DEN 2013 second (top 40 protected -> 2014 unprotected second in that case)
LAL first and second round picks 2014 and later
draft rights to Majok and two others players (I guess those would be just throw ins and doesn'T matter much, but still better to have than not have)
young players:
Morris, Goudelokc, Ebanks, Caracter, McRoberts - not saying i would want any of them, just listing them (some recently signed and trade restricted because of that)
older players working salary wise - I guess that's Blake as Fisher is out of question because of his daughter condition (I assume nothing changed) and he is not really needed here anyway, just shorter contract than Blake
If we could dump Tyrus Thomas on you that would be a big plus; he may play better as complimentary player to better players but don't expect much
Augustin is an expiring and going to be RFA. Unless there is a still way to extend him prior to the trade, he would be a one year rental - at the saem time Lakers are profitable organization and wouldn't have to worry about re-signing him as they would have the money to match any offer he gets in off-season. So it is probably non-issue either way but realistically gets you leverage in negotiations.
Just in case, any interest in Diaw? He is an expiring as well and would be better for us if we could get something from him rather then just let him expire. Going to be UFA though.

Diaw could be useful, but it would be best to involve a third team that needs a guy like diaw

I would totally take McRoberts over any PF we have on the roster.

DJ is a former lottery pick, and he plays like it. I want a lottery pick back.
