Kane at center is donedy. He's moved back to RW.

I don't think DK is worse this year, but he has certainly had a few games at a time where he has been worse. Then the next couple nights he saves 4-5 goals by himself, it's really quite strange.

I know we kind of take him for granted, but in LA and again tonight the Captain has by himself willed the team to a victory. That 4 point period of God mode in LA, and that pure hustle play on the PK tonight where he just gave the Islanders a huge FU and decided he was going to score. I <3 him.

There are way too many turnovers, bad let-ins by the goalie, and poor defense for this team to be worth anything this year. If they don't get better defense, they aren't going anywhere.

I also hate Emery. He is real turrible.

Ray Emery is one of the worst goalies in hockey. Had a good game last night but he's not good at all. The Blackhawks are winning ugly right now. Need to turn it around.

So he's made the move back to RW on a permenant (or at least as permenant as you can get in hockey) basis? Who is playing as the 2nd line C now? What lines are we rolling?

I don't get to see much of the games, as I have said before, but I found this kind of funny. I'm sure you guys are right and he does suck, but he's been by far the best of the two goalies so far in my Blackhawks season on NHL12. Crawford has really struggled, while Emery has 2 shutouts in 8 games, a GAA of about 1.65 and a SV% at about .980 so I guess they'll make Crawford better (or Emery worse) in next years game.

I'm finding it tough to understand why Keith is struggling so much. I mean after the Cup year there was the whole thing about having a shorter off-season, but I don't know what the reason is this year. I've heard some so-called Blackhawks "fans" saying that he's a bum and we should trade him, but I honestly disagree. You don't win a Norris by accident. The guy is still young-ish and has crazy talent... we just need to perservere with him and hopefully he gets back into consistent form sooner rather than later.

Seabrook took a pretty ouchy-looking (that's a medical term) shot to the head against the Flames. At least to me, it looked like a pretty cheap shot. I'm glad he got 2 games for it. Hopefully Seabs is ok and is back on the ice before too long.

Bourque's suspension was fine especially when you consider he got a game misconduct on Sunday anyways, so it was pretty much a three-gamer.

Good point about it being virtually three games. I just read that Seabs will be back for the next game, which is great news. I guess it must have looked worse than it was, because the only other possibility is that the team is risking playing him when he shouldn't be playing, and I can't see the team doing that at this point of the season.

Maybe I haven't been paying close enough attention to the games but I'd say the team has looked much better this season than this thread lets on.

They have. But when you have a team that is this good and has performed that way, it is easier to find the few flaws that exist and want those to be fixed.

Hawks in a bit of a funk right now. Giving the puck away far too much. Not clearing the zone and turnovers at mid ice.

I don't know if that was a great game by the Flyers or their norm, but last night they seemed to have the jump on the Hawks all over the ice.

Nice to see some of the youngsters get a shot as long as the vets are healthy come playoff time. Hawks seem to have enough quality prospects where they could make a significant upgrade on one of their lines with a trade later in the year.

If you don't have guys capable of checking anyone in front of the net, or at the very least, locating the puck in front of the net and getting it out, you're going to lose a lot.

Sharp out a month, team's lost four in a row.

Time to make a move.

According to a WireTap article, Sharp would have been an All-Star if he had been healthy. We really need him back. If we are to make moves though, what do you recommend, WEFFPIM?

Still doesn't change how bad the defense is, just takes away one guy who can cover up the flaws.

Defense still needs to be the target.

I haven't been paying too much attention to the Blackhawks recently, as I have been trying to get up to date with everything that's happening with my Red Sox. I just heard Toews was injured about 10 minutes ago. Can someone tell me what sort of injury it is and how long he will be out? Also, does anyone have an idea when Sharpie will be back as well?

Slashed on the wrist last week against the Panthers, could return by Tuesday in Vancouver. Sharp should return during the nine-game road trip.

OK, thanks. Sounds like they should both be back soon.
