I'm not even lying. Start Isaiah Jimmer Honeycutt JT Cousins next game. They at the very least will give the effort to not let a blowout happen and wont rollover and die if they fall behind.

Re: Nuggets @ Kings GDT
The only thing I ask for the players of this team is playing with pride for the name in front of the jersey. That, and playing with energy and effort. Win or lose.
That's all I ask.
Sometimes I don't see that from them. Getting blown out by 30+ at home is pathetic. Giving up 92 points in the paint is sickening.

I am officially done with Tyreke Evans. Trade him. Let him walk when his rookie contract expires. Whatever. He is not the future of this team. He is garbage.

Re: Nuggets @ Kings GDT
Couple of positives from this game at least. Jimmer seems to be finding that confidence and he's getting better shots finally. Cousins also seems to be adding more and more to his game, he looks to have developed a pretty nifty little floater in the last 24 hours or so, hahaha. Wonder if he's watching tape on Al Jefferson because he's looking more and more like him with his one on one moves.
Smart once again said something that is quite bothersome. I liked what I heard from him for the most part but I have to wonder if this guy is in denial or something. He said the Kings problems are defensive and not offensive!! WTF!? Uh.... the Kings were playing excellent defense just a few weeks ago, the Kings have yet to play good offense for more than a quarter and a half a game. You struggle to score 90 ppg and rack up 15 apg and your problems aren't on offense??? Wow dude, wow. When a team just can't get consistent offense down they give up and it's only a matter of time before they give up defensively when that happens because so much of that is about keeping your head together and pure effort. There have been some bright spots since Westphal got the boot but you have to recognize the problem first before you can correct it.
Another positive, it sounded like Smart is starting to back off of the "running" garbage. At least he said as much. You can run but taking early shots is not good and unnecessary when you have some of the talent this team has. This team has some decent shooters on it and if used right should be at least a respectable shooting team, however, they have to PLAY to be that. For instance, Evans and Salmons are not known for their shooting. Jimmer and Garcia are. Jimmer and Garcia need to be your floor spreaders because that is the kind of role they can succeed in and the players that will help in that area of the game. Salmons has been about as much of the nightmare version of himself that anyone could fear, he and Tyreke just simply won't work and has basically no hope without the contraints of a system to keep them in line with what's going on.

Not true but, it may becoming clear that he won't be the right fit next to Cousins and some of these other guys. I noticed he plays a lot better with that small ball unit and when Hickson is in there. With that lineup he's allowed to be "Tyreke". Flash into the paint, dish off to a fisher at the rim, or take it full court with reckless abandon. There are ways to work it, but I'm not seeing any of it done at the moment.

Tyreke would excel in a Manu/Harden type role, but too bad he'd never accept it. Also we don't have the talent and depth that OKC or SAS have.

I don't think it would be that easy. Manu comes off the bench for the Spurs not because he can't play with Duncan but because they're bench wasn't producing. That's a lot different than, "well you can't play with everyone else so will use you on special teams".

It's up to the coaching staff and Tyreke to connect the dots. We just all have to fully understand that it's going to be hard to connect those dots until there is time to put it into place. When this team has a run of home games is when this should all come together. If not then, then you know it's time to start considering some things. There is no reason from a talent standpoint that this team should struggle to get 90 ppg and dish out 15 assists. NONE. Cousins shouldn't be averaging less than 3 apg alone. Hayes should be around that as well. We all know it's possible because we saw it last year. It's funny, sometimes I wonder if everyone was abducted by aliens during the extended off time and the last few months of last season were completely erased! Tonight you had Jerry and Grant talking about Cousins being double teamed one day, DUH!!, he was double teamed repeatedly last year, the difference is now everybody knows if they just load the paint there will be nobody around for him to pass it to anyway! Jeez...
What's going on now is the exact reason I loathed the ideas of the Kings blowing all that cap space before even seeing the team hit the floor. At least there are still very real possibilities in bringing in the right pieces. Part of me hopes Coachie comes back for awhile, I would like to know if it was all him last year, because it's starting to look like it. He needs to come back and give a little refresher course in basketball 101.

Haha! I was there a few weeks ago too buddy! But even though the scores have been awful they are finally running some stuff that could help pay off if the long run. Before it was just hopeless, now it's just trying to find the best way to do it.
