POTG: WAS vs. CHA

I guess nobody else is going to do this.

I guess I have to split it between Blatche and Young. I mean, Kobe leads the league in FGA/36 minutes with 23. Nick managed to get up 18 shots in 29 minutes and Dray managed 15 in just 24! Co-MVPs!

Probably not fair, I missed the first quarter when Blatche and Young did most of their damage. But I can't vote for a guy who is so out of shape/unathletic that he was blocked at the rim 5 times in one game. I gave my vote to Vesely.
Making extreme statements like "only" sounds like there are "no" Jokics in this draft? Jokic is an engine that was drafted in the 2nd round. Always a chance to see diamond dropped by sloppy burgular after a theft.

Vesley, with Crawford as runner-up.

He put in a great role player performance that changed the complexion of the game. Then again it was against Charlotte. And if the team's best performer had 6 points and 6 boards, that's not really a good thing. Can I vote for Charlotte's incompetence?

It was a team win against a bad team that was injured. Several players play around the same level and contributed. Dray had the best line but he missed like 7 dunks and fumbled some passes. More then showed up in his box score. He is just to out of shape and slow footed. And can't jump.

I give it to Randy Wittman.

10 players got 20 minutes each.

Starting line up sucked but he is just getting started. Clean slate so he isn't going to change the starting line up first game. Ves with first off the bench follow by Mack and KS.

He played Mack, Craw, Singleton, Ves, KS several times.

Ves, KS and Crawford were the difference makers for me. They brought the energy, set the picks, rebounded and passed the ball.

POTH thread should always have a TEAM/Coach option. Sometimes, there isn't a stand out player to give credit to.

I'd vote for team or other if that were an option.

Vesely, Crawford, Young, Blatche (because he actually did play down low, boarded, and passed out, even if he missed so many EZs and pulled a few old-style Blatche moves), Seraphin could all be in the top three.

JV played well but there is no way that you cannot make Dray the POTG unless you just hate him so much. Fisher talked about Kobe but you have to remember that alot of Dray's misses were blocks which is want they count as in the score sheet. He only missed 1 or 2 shots the whole game if that. The other misses were blocks or that long range 3 he was forced to take.

People still had a bad taste for Dray because he got blocked literally like 5 times but you have to get that out of your head because he balled out totally other than that. Even one of his real misses was rebounded by him and put in. He set the tone

+1

Hopefully they get healthy and start winning some games. They are an imposing tank threat.

Blatche was mostly cherry picking and Young didn't really do anything out of the ordinary. But Vesely and Crawford were difference makers. Jan with his defense, and Crawford for his passing. I'll give it to Vesely as a sign of good things to come.

Nope, just empty stats, as usual.

Ves, because he's hard working, high energy, and likable.

As opposed to Andray who will only use this award as an excuse to binge on victory donuts and beer.

You're assuming he needs an excuse for donuts and beer...

Donuts and beer are his birthright. Homer Blatche?

Yup, this is the (miserable) game I saw. Young did nothing other than shoot and was jacking it. Blatche played terrible defense and let the team in WTFs. Crawford actually got the ball moving on offense and played some D.

Blatche seems lots more like a nachos and beer kinda guy, or perhaps a buffalo wings and beer dude, or maybe even an onion rings and beer dude. Basically bar food and beer. Yeah.

I gave Crawford the nod because he made some GREAT passes and was a ballhawk on D.

Blatche still didn't play that great. Not trying to hate. Just keepin' it real. His D was very bad once he started getting tired, and his LOLworthy vert made it painful for me to watch whenever he drove to the rim. He was not the "beast" dlts20 is making him out to be.
