I think it has more to do with DW developing "behind" Love at PF and then Beas, Johnson, and Webster at SF. There's not much run there either unless we make some changes. Turner would fit this team like a glove. DW will be a very good basketball player, but when push comes to shove, your best players need to fit not sit ... ET is just a great fit on this team IMO.
Flip response to Love wanting out, "He has no reason to be upset, you're either a part of the problem or a part of the solution"

not at all giving up on williams however we shouldnt be compareing turners and williams 3 point percentage or makes. We should be focusing on which player would be better for our future and if its worth it.

30 games into his rookie year, Love was averaging around 7 and 7, playing 22 minutes per night, was shooting 38% from the field, had a PER that hovered in the 13-15 range, and had made 1 3 pointer (on 11 attempts). People were pining for OJ Mayo and the Jonathan Watters was running rampant on the board spreading that thought (after ragging on Mayo for much of the pre-draft process). Now people are griping that the Wolves didn't give Love enough money.

Williams is 18 games into his, and didn't have the benefit of a full training camp or preseason slate.

Patience is a virtue.

Oy, Jonathan Watters, don't remind me...

Those were interesting days.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

Derrick Williams has a TS% of .504 and a PER of 14.7 in what could very easily be the toughest part of his learning curve as an NBA player. He does have tweener type size, but he has the handles of a SG and a knack for drawing contact and finishing at the rim. He has top-flight athleticism. He's going to be a player in this league, and quite possibly a good one. Trading him now only makes sense if it's as a part of a package to bring in an elite player.

He's not very good at finishing at the rim either.

He doesn't have the handles of a SG, but he does of a SF. And he finished at the rim like a basketball god in college. I'd say give him some time to adjust. Love is a pretty good example of why. So is Eric Gordon, if you want to go look what he did his first 30 days it was pathetic.

You have to remember Turner is almost 3 years older than Derrick, and thus his potential is much higher IMHO. Turner is playing 6 more minutes per game, so comparing their stats isn't fair either
