http://basketball.realgm.com/tradechecker/saved_trade/6005258

Wolves out: Williams, Webster, Ridnour, Miller, Memphis '13 1st
Wolves in: Batum, Matthews, Okur

Rubio/Barea
Matthews/Ellington/Lee
Batum/Beasley/Johnson
Love/Beasley/Randolph/Tolliver
Milicic/Pekovic/Okur

Wolves solidify their SG/SF positions and add incredible depth to the team. Beasley becomes the 6th man.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nets out: Lopez, Okur, Morrow, Farmar, Houston '12 1st
Nets in: Williams, Felton, Webster, Miller

Williams/Felton
Brooks/Felton
Webster/Stevenson/James
Humphries/Williams
Petro/

Nets clear out contracts that don't expire for those which do or have cheap buy-outs. Open open cap-room for Dwight. Adding a promising rookie like Derrick Williams to MarShon Brooks and Deron Williams, a new arena and Brooklyn and tons of cap-space and it looks like an appealing destination for Dwight.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Blazers out: Batum, Matthews, Felton
Blazers in: Lopez, Ridnour, Morrow, Farmar, Memphis '13 1st, Houston '12 1st

Ridnour/Farmar
Morrow/Crawford
Wallace/Babbit
Aldridge/Thomas
Lopez/Camby/Oden

Blazers opted not to extend Batum at the deadline and are rumored to be in a bind at SF. They get their big they want in Lopez in the process and pick up a couple first round picks.

What if the Wolves toss in Johnson? He is a Batum-lite and wouldn't mind coming off the bench.

Ridnour/Farmar
Morrow/Johnson/Crawford
Wallace/Johnson/Babbit
Aldridge/Thomas
Lopez/Camby/Oden

I don't see Portland giving up Matthews and Batum for much at all, and not for this.

Luke isn't going to get you anywhere in the playoffs, and Lopez, man really, another broken big man in Portland? That's almost cruel.

If you found some way to get Deron Williams and Darko to Portland (and Beasley to NJ?) they might think about something like this, but in reality I don't think Portland is interested in trading Matthews at all.

In fairness to the trade, even with the injury I would still classify Lopez as the top asset in this trade, and Williams as the second best asset. Portland gets the top asset in the trade by giving up the 3, 4, & 5 top assets in the trade. Typically, the team that gets the top asset in the trade wins the trade, however, in this case, I'm not sure there is that big of a difference from the #1 to the #5 asset to make the trade worthwhile for Portland.

Stop-n-Pop says the Wolves are really looking to acquire Batum and Mayo.

Via restricted free-agency or trade? Interesting...

Something simple like:

MN out: Webster, Tolliver/Randolph, Utah '12 1st, Memphis '13 1st
MN in: Batum, Mayo

MEM out: Mayo
MEM in: Webster, Memphis '13 1st (Another vet, cheapt buy-out, can play SG/SF)

POR out: Batum
POR in: Tolliver/Randolph, Utah 1st (high energy, back-up big, additional 1st in deep draft)

Rubio/Barea/Ridnour
Mayo/Ellington/Lee
Batum/Beasley/Johnson
Love/Williams/(Tolliver/Randolph)
Milicic/Pekovic

Extremely deep team. Could very well trade some players to upgrade at C.

No way we get Mayo and Batum this cheap. I think we need to send more value out.

I have to concur. I'd be willing to toss Williams in there if we really ended up with Mayo and Batum. They'd be worth trading Williams, IMO.

My guess is one or the other, not both.

Stop-n-pop? I'm not familiar.

Wouldn't we be stuck having to extend any of the mentioned players like batum and mayo? The only person locked up on a deal would be Wes Matthews from the OP trade idea.

I agree that we probably are not targeting acquiring both.

the extension deadline has passed so when would have them as restricted free agents...both would surely get above market offers from some teams which would be difficult to match...would leave us with i think 4 restricted free agents in off season. would absolutely LOVE to have batum here.
