Dwight brought up last night in post game that he thinks the Magic have to change. He feels that players need to stick to their roles and not try to take over a game by themselves.

Dwight has been on a pretty serious media trip talking bad about his teammates and great about other teams and other players. The guy trying to play most outside of his role is his buddy, Glen Davis. Tell him to stop shooting jumpers from 20 feet.

It seems like Dwight has started heading down a bad path where he takes little blame for his own faults, constantly blames others, and feels like he not being treated fairly. When presented with leadership opportunities, he goes to the media and whines.

Dwight said nearly the same thing on December 10, 2010.

http://howardthedunk.com/2010/12/10/dwight-howard-calls-out-his-magic-teammates-where-do-they-go-from-here/
"Most Magic fans think this team has to make a trade if they want to have a realistic chance of winning a championship and it looks like they’re probably right."

Do we see a trade, or is Otis resigned to liking this team (not considering trade Dwight scenarios)? Just to clarify, I'm not talking about trading Dwight, this is about other moves.

I am done trying to guess what Otis is going to do. It defies logic and just gets me frustrated.

Im not a Dwight hater, to me he's the girl who has been text messaging another dude and i found out and now we are trying to figure it out, BUT while he refuses to commit, and talks about he'd CONSIDER BOSTON, look theres no WE, your on the court, but your not on OUR TEAM imo. OUR TEAM is trying to move forward and progress towards a chip. he wants to 'WIN NOW' or out

Yeah, i like the cheating GF analogy. To me, I look at this and think to myself, dang, this has happened 3 times before with Dwight. He's trashed 3 different sets of teammates now. I don't follow other teams or superstars close enough to know if this is normal, but it's definitely a pattern. It's an Otis issue too no doubt.

Its a normal thing when a superstar's supporting cast is weak. Jordan was historically tough on his teammates, Kobe is also the same. KG was very vocal about needing help in Minny, and LeBron worked with management to try to get talent on his roster. What I am trying to say is they all do it. Coaches even have a history of doing it when they do not think management has put together a good enough group of players

Granted, Howard gives us our best chance at one day winning a title but this stuff has to stop. Call a private players only meeting, do not run to the media. And heck, I do not even agree with Howard. He has plenty of blame in losses and last night. He has to adapt to the flow when it is going good like it was last night with him on the bench. Come back in and play tough defense, block shots, change shots when those guys got to YOUR lane. Dominate defensively first then go get your points in transition, off lobs, off putbacks, from PnRs. He can still score 18 - 22ppg just doing that and then get 8 - 10 low post touches. Plus foul shots. He and Otis need to shutup with this running their mouths in the media. I definitely want to see Otis fired but its becoming more and more clear that maybe just maybe Howard is becoming a cancer to his teammates. Eventually, they will resent him and it will start showing. Who says to the media on the day of the game..."yeah, I would go play with Boston". I don't even have words for that.

One less backup C on the market. Philly signs Elson.

So by this logic a Wizards fan shouldn't want to ship out every player on their roster. Orlando shouldn't trade Jameer for CP3, JJ for D Wade, Anderson for Nowitzki....Think about what you just said, and next time you have a thought just let it go.

Now don't get me wrong, the trade the dude proposed was probably thought up by a 2nd grader with down syndrome. But your rebuttal was equally as moronic. Let's just hope for the sake of humanity that you are both under the age of 16 and have already started burger flipping your way up the local McDonald's ladder. Because college and a career seem a bit far fetched when you say things such as that.

It should be McDonalds' ladder and there should not be a period after the word ladder.

I don't know if this trade has been done already it probably has since it's so simple but we need a shot in the arm...even though we're 12-6 it feels like we're 6-12....We have to quick change the makeup of our team...I don't see us landing a big time scorer at the deadline so we might have to make small changes that may or may not be lateral moves....

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... Id=7q6vs3f

So after the trades we'll end up looking like...

Harris
Sjax
Hedo
Anderson
Howard

Sorry JNO guys but i think it's time we shop nelson because his play looks like it's not on an uptrend...With Harris we get bigger, younger and faster at the PG spot and who knows maybe in this system Harris can flourish...

Sjax makes us tougher at that SG spot because i'm sorry but J-Rich isn't cutting it...If we can't get consistent scoring out of J-Rich might as well trade him for someone you know will play defense all game and can score if needed...I traded JJ for Sjax simply because trade machine wouldn't allow me to trade J-Rich as of yet so basically JJ is a placeholder for J-Rich.....

This move imo is good because it's not a pipe dream it can actually be done and while the stats may say otherwise i think that Starting 5 is better than ours currently....

I actually believe we will make a move for S-Jax after J-Rich is available to be traded. Maybe S-Jax for J-Rich+Duhon, then we can absorb Livingston's contract w/ the Bass TPE.

J-Rich needs to kick rocks.....Too inconsistent and virtually brings nothing to the table that Redick can't emulate

Not loving the trade... don't hate it but don't love it either. Harris has been sucking too this year. Maybe a straight up swap of Jameer for Harris (or add a second round pick or Liggins/Orton).

I jumped on the Harris wagon. I think it's worth a shot even though he's playing equally as ****.

^^^ I wouldn't give up JJ for SJax ^^^ guy is 34 years old with 2 more years at close to $10 mil per. He has already dropped off.

I would do it if you flip JJ for JRich tho.

To ORL: Bynum/KMart/Scola/Lee/Dragic/Ebanks/Darius Morris

To HOU: Gasol/QRIch/Orton

To LAL: Howard/Turk/Duhon

http://basketball.realgm.com/tradecheck ... de/6004944

Sign C Fesenko 3 years/$4 million

After Trade:

PG: Nelson/Dragic/D Morris
SG: JRich/JJ/Lee/Liggins
SF: KMart/Wafer/Ebanks
PF: Scola/Anderson/Clark
C: Bynum/BBD/Fesenko

I would then like to see the Magic offer...

Nelson/JRich/Anderson/Harper/two 1st rnd picks for Monta Ellis/Udoh

PG: Monta/Dragic/D Morris
SG: JJ/Lee/Liggins
SF: KMart/Wafer/Ebanks
PF: Scola/BBD/Clark
C: Bynum/Udoh/Fesenko

I think we would of done this by now if it was that easy. Ellis Trade

Jameer for Harris, then send J Rich to Memphis for OJ Mayo.

Harris/Duhon
Mayo/Redick
Hedo/Q-Brick
Ryno/Glen
Dwight

Boom. Younger and faster.

I wouldn't either it's just that at this time trade machine doesn't allow you to trade J-rich because he was recently signed...you have to wait a few months i believe....i just put JJ in the trade as a placeholder for J-Rich.....

I'd do both of those trades. And if D12 forces his way out...

Harris/Duhon
Mayo/JJ
Wafer/Clark/Q
Gasol/Anderson
Bynum/BBD

Great post players, slashers, 3 pt shooting. Passing still a little suspect.
