http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... Id=7q6vs3f

So after the trades we'll end up looking like...

Harris
Sjax
Hedo
Anderson
Howard

Sorry JNO guys but i think it's time we shop nelson because his play looks like it's not on an uptrend...With Harris we get bigger, younger and faster at the PG spot and who knows maybe in this system Harris can flourish...

Sjax makes us tougher at that SG spot because i'm sorry but J-Rich isn't cutting it...If we can't get consistent scoring out of J-Rich might as well trade him for someone you know will play defense all game and can score if needed...I traded JJ for Sjax simply because trade machine wouldn't allow me to trade J-Rich as of yet so basically JJ is a placeholder for J-Rich.....

This move imo is good because it's not a pipe dream it can actually be done and while the stats may say otherwise i think that Starting 5 is better than ours currently....

Not loving the trade... don't hate it but don't love it either. Harris has been sucking too this year. Maybe a straight up swap of Jameer for Harris (or add a second round pick or Liggins/Orton).

Well i'm not in love with it either lol....i'm just proposing a trade that can actually be done somewhat easily and not some pipe dream trade that's somehow going to net us a star....Harris and Sjax makes us marginally better on paper and on the court if we gel just right we could be dangerous....

Sjax is a good defender as a starter according to my eye test and we can finally feel a bit better about facing the Joe Johnson's and Kobe's of the league....Same thing with Harris no more worring about Jameer being a liability defensively...I mean 5"9 Jameer trying to guard 6"5 Jamal Crawford? Hell in the pacers game recently i've seen him trying to guard Danny Granger...6"3 Harris gives us size we haven't had at the PG spot for years....Plus Harris is still one of the faster PG in the league and with him on the roster maybe that Speed can be contagious and cause a change in this team to one that runs and guns....

Boom. Younger and faster.

I'd do both of those trades. And if D12 forces his way out...

Harris/Duhon
Mayo/JJ
Wafer/Clark/Q
Gasol/Anderson
Bynum/BBD

Great post players, slashers, 3 pt shooting. Passing still a little suspect.

Out of curiosity....for everyone who was super gung-ho on that Clippers-Hornets CP3 deal (I wasn't), what do you think of:

They are now trying to trade Kaman (an enormous expiring of $14mil, but he wouldn't fit with us, since we have Dwight, and we would have to give up a few of our assets to get him, would be nice if we could unload Jameer for him tho!), and Bledsoe and them didn't agree to an extension before deadline.

So if they don't match Bledsoe's offers from other teams this summer (which there will probably be many as there aren't many great FAs this summer and teams will have money, Pacers really want him)...they would've basically traded CP3 for Aminu+Minny 1st rd (which isn't going to be an amazing pick probably since Minny will probably end up around .500 imo), plus whatever they get for Kaman (which prob won't be much).

Did you forget about Allstar Eric Gordan? Or are you confusing him for Bledsoe??? They will match Gordan.

The most important thing for them is that they suck this year which means they'll be in position to draft a potential star which they wouldn't have been able to if they made the deal with the lakers.

Yes, yes....meant Gordon...confused my Erics. Obv they don't have Bledsoe. Been a long week with these stupid losses...my head is spinning. I mean, you say "they'll match Gordon". I mean, it's not a 100% thing....I would say probably....but it might just be a maybe...they couldn't agree to an extension yet, so it's possible they might not match ANY offer, otherwise they probably would've already had an agreement.

If we didn't resign J-Rich, we would had a pretty good shot of signing JR smith or Wilson Chandler once they were cleared to return to the NBA.

J-Rich needs to kick rocks.....Too inconsistent and virtually brings nothing to the table that Redick can't emulate

chandler is a restricted free agent that Denver would be dumb not to match offers for. I say we package Jameer and JRich for the best point guard we can get and then sign JR Smith and have:

New PG
JR Smith
Hedo
Ryan
Dwight

Much better team even with the unknown pg

LAL Trades

Pau
Bynum

ORL Trades
Dwight
Jameer
JJ

NYN Trades
Amare
T Douglas

Utah Trades
Devin Harris

LAL

Tony Douglas
Kobe
Metta
Murphy
Dwight/Crap

NYN
Meer
Landry
Melo
Pau
Chandler

Utah
Watson/shumpert
Redick
Favors
Milsap
Al Jeff

Orl
Harris/Duhon
JRich/Wafer/Liggins
Turk/Q/Harper
Amare/RA/BBD/Harper
Bynum/BBD/RA

Then maybe we could flip the rookies Jrich and or BBD for a good SF.

That team would compete.

Who wouldn't do it though?

The Lakers are not giving up Bynum and Gasol. If they were willing Dwight would already be a Laker

It's one thing to say you aren't willing to now, it's another to say that at the deadline if you are the second best team in the building. If they can get back a decent PF in the process to replace Pau, they would be morons not to.

I posted this in another tread so I will repost here with some tweaks in its proper locale.
After tonight I am all for blowing this thing up.

Trade #1: Howard/Hedo for B Lopez/Marshon/Humph/Okur/NJ 2012/HOU 2012/NJ 2012 2nd. Humph and Okur expire.

Trade #2: JRich for Bledsoe/Cook. (ORL & LAC). Cook expires

Trade #3: BBD/Duhon for Flynn/J Hill. (ORL & HOU). Both have team options. Hill's was declined.

Trade #4: QRich/Orton for R Lopez. (ORL & PHX).

Trade#5: Nelson/Harper/Liggins/NJ 2012 2nd rnd for Augustine/Najera/DJ White. (ORL & CHA). Najera and White expire. Augustine is a RFA, resign or let him walk.

Resign B Lopez for 4 years/$40 mill
Resign Ryno for 4 years/$30 mill
Resign R Lopez for 3 years/$9 mill
Sign Wilson Chandler 1 year/$8 mill
(We have to send 85% of cap)

2013 Lineup:

Flynn/Bledsoe
Marshon/JJ
Chandler/Wafer
Anderson/Clark
B Lopez/R Lopez

plus 3 1st rnd draft picks

Salaries by position for corresponding player:

PG: $4.3 mill/ $1.7 mill
SG: $1.2 mill/ $6 mill
SF: $8 mill/ $1.1 mill
PF: $7.5 mill/ $1.3 mill
C: $10 mill/ $3 mill

Total Salary: $44.1 million BEFORE draft picks are signed. Reserve say $6 million for rookies.
New Total Salary: $50.1 million = 86% of salary cap spent.

Chandler expires, Flynn RFA. $26 million at least to spend in summer of 2013 on FAs if Chandler and Flynn walk and JJ is not resigned.
