* Coach Larry Drew said starting point guard Jeff Teague is day-to-day with an ankle sprain suffered in Friday’s OT win in Detroit. Teague participated in practice Saturday. “He was out here getting some shots up,” Drew said. “He’s moving around on it pretty good. They are still treating it. It will be a day-to-day decision.”
*Drew played Kirk Hinrich, in his second game since returning from shoulder surgery, with 3:48 left in the third until the end of the game. Hinrich told MC that he was “gassed” following the effort. Drew said he was ready to play Jannero Pargo but that he decided to utilize his timeouts to rest Hinrich. “I was prepared to play Pargo after Jeff gave me the nod that he couldn’t go again,” Drew said. “He came back after they taped him and said that it started to stiffen up a little bit. I threw Kirk in there. I saw he was getting a little winded so I was prepared to throw Pargo in there but I made the decision to use my timeouts where [Hinrich] could get some rest. we don't need him to rush back, I believe that if we play as a team we can defeat the hornets and raptors without him, right now Jeff just needs to focus on resting and recooperating.

He should sit the NO game out.... the problem with spraining your ankle is that once it's happened ... it's a matter of time till you will do it again. I have been playing soccer/basketball for years and I must have sprained or semi sprained my ankle at least 3 times a year... I'm to that point where I kinda know when it's coming so I just fall down as soon as I feel my ankle joint turning and try not to put any weight on it.. I am a 6'0ft , 230lbs man so It's not like I jump too high anyway....

I had played basketball for years and my first ankle sprain came while dancing a little bit drank during a camping vacation with my university pals.
Then ever again had another one, although I kept playing and doing crazy stuff for several years.
I have to say that I walked bare footed a lot while I was a child. On sand beaches, and a lot on stone beaches, at home until I was in my 20s, and still try to do that when the weather is right to do so.
That makes your ligaments strong.
