It's not over...Jimmer is fouled while making a three, then knocks in the FT for the win.

Well there it is. I actually really liked a lot of how we played near the end. Didn't execute everything, but no "what the hell are you doing?" plays, which was a nice change of pace.

I mean the effort was there, but the team still has a long ways to go.

At least the Kings didn't get blown out. It was a fun game to watch.

****! If Hayes' shoulder slipped out again in that manner he's going to have to have surgery to keep it from repeatedly slipping out. His defense and rebounding were huge too! So frustrating. He's exactly what this team needs. ****!

They really need to just let those steals at the end of shot clocks go. Within the current rules we wereent screwed by refs the rule just needs to change.

The initial play for the last possession was really good. You had Evans driving to the basket but dumped the ball to Cuz. Unfortunately, one of the Jazz players knocked the ball out of bounds. I like the idea. Last season, you would have seen Evans take a crazy drive to the rim and miss.

Step by step. You see some growth in this team.

Tonight we saw stuff they can put together in a consistent system. Evans is starting to find Jimmer spotting up more and more, and we also finally saw Evans using Cousins to get him an easy dump off at the rim. Saw the handoff, a backcut from the corner 3, and a little give and go late. 3 of the easiest shots Tyreke has had all season.

Didn't check the box score but I've been told by multiple people already Salmons was craptastic again.

You heard correctly. Another cringe-worthy performance by Mr. Salmons. In his defense, Greene and Garcia were much, much worse. We are so incredibly weak at the 3 it's depressing. I remember folks during the offseason saying we don't need to go after any more wings because we have too many. Well three of them suck and shouldn't be playing. So that's that.

Its going to be interesting to see what happens when Thornton comes back. The starters are starting to develop some nice chemistry together (beyond Salmons anyways), and the bench is obviously lacking scoring punch. The logical solution is to bring Thornton off the bench as a microwave type scorer, but will his ego take coming off the bench? Lets see what Smart does.

the logical thing to do would to start reke at the 3, thornton at the 2, and bring salmons off the bench.

I liked what you said until "bring salmons off the bench." I'm happy just leaving him there. I'll bring Garcia, Greene, and even Honeycutt in before Salmons. But starting Fredette, Thornton, and Evans, I think, is worth a shot.

And subject our best playmaker to get beat up by the Lebrons and Melos of the league at SF while continuing to have an impotent bench? No thanks. I'd rather start Jimmer/Reke/Donte and bring Thornton off the bench as an explosive scoring duo with IT

Last time I checked we very rarely play eastern conference teams, therefore don't see Lebron/Melo/Pierce very often. The only dominant small forward Reke would face is Durant, and when we do face the Lebrons/Melos of the league, start Donte for defensive reasons. I feel like Reke could hold is on against the majority of small forwards in the league, and many on this board seem to agree. Of course this is just my opinion
