Do not vote for Lowry as an All-Star!

Post#1 » by Mr. E » Sun Jan 29, 2012 3:57 am

Like we were discussing in the game thread - he looks a bit gassed. Let's give our General a nice 5-day break!

Kyle - if you're reading this then let those other chuckleheads play the big exhibition game. Mix in a day or two at the spa. Just rest and come back ready for a playoff push. We'll get you in on future All-Star games - this is just a weird season.

If he gets in thats good for morale!
Media takes notice/fans take notice.
Other players around the league take notice, and say... damn I would like to play with that guy.

Can you guys believe one oh my buddies a Cavs fan, was telling me Cavs were better than the Rockets, and the Rockets always have losing record... o.O

I want that damn media exposure, I wanna see Lowry on that team!

This is how I feel. I know that we know we have some good players and a solid squad but we have no "big names" and the average fan doesn't know **** about us. I hope Lowry makes the team....

Paul, Kobe and Westbrook are locks.

Usually they take 5 guards.

Lowry will be competing with these guards for the last 2 coaches votes:

The veterans: Steve Nash, Tony Parker
The sixth man: James Harden
The rookie: Ricky Rubio
The Tys: Tyreke Evans, Ty Lawson
The teammate: Kevin Martin

I predict:
Starters: Durant, Kobe, CP3, Bynum, Griffin
Reserves: Love, Westbrook, P.Gasol, M.Gasol, Aldridge, Nash, Harden

3 Lakers, 3 Thunder, 2 Clippers, 1 TWolf, 1 Grizzly, 1 Blazer, 1 Sun

Nash is leading the league in assists again and I think will be voted by the coaches.
Dirk hasn't played enough games and his stats are down.
This will be the first All Star game without Tim Duncan representing the Western Conference since he joined the NBA.
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

Not to mention... all star berths, mvps, all nba team appearances and such now FORCE teams to give players better contracts.

They always put guys whose teams are doing well,so Harden might make it but, Nash wont imo, and They wont put 3 lakers in there so Kobe and Bynum go on fan votes.

Rockets will probably get over looked so Parker will get in for sure, and one of Harden/Lowry/Lawson

We need a high profile Chinese player to get our players in the ASG... Is Yi any good?

Hill for Yi and some picks?

He's a starter but not close to all star level.

He arguably may not be a true star, and he's definitely no superstar, but he's at least having an allstar quality season. Half our wins are a result of Lowry and Dalembert.
