It's only one game and he did go 8-18.

Triple double aside, it's not doubt his best game as a pro. He took his time and made good decisions with the ball most times. Still would have liked him to get to the line more when we were in the bonus for so long.

He could have had A LOT more shots but as you posted showed restraint, I hope this shows him that he can run the offense effectively and still get his shots up but then again the other guys won't be hitting every night but he has to learn to keep doing the right thing (passing) even if the result atm is not good.

Game doesn't prove anything. I'm sure Larry Hughes had a few good assist games in his day too.

Let's see what Kemba can do consistently. He did a good job distributing the ball this game but he has to continue doing that. Right now, he should be aiming for 5+ assists a game.

That chaotic possession was disappointing though. I expected more of Kemba being the clutch player he is. He jumped in the air with the ball and didn't know what to do with it TWICE. Should have been a turnover.

Agreed, he had time to Kemba shake the defender and have room to get his shot off or on the 2nd to last possession drove to the basket but rushed it.

Tyrus had his first double-double of the season tonight. That makes a few strong performances in a row now.
Humble yourself.

Cannot understand why people dont give Kemba a break. He's just a Rookie, only a qtr of the way thru his first season. And one that had a pre season cut out because of a lockout. And he has virtually no really good veteran players with him other than DJ. He's learning the NBA with a team that would struggle against any of the Top 10 college schools. Give him at least 1 full season before you decide he is not a PG, not a good pro, and decide to ship his ass out of town.

kemba fanboys unite!!!!

he looked like a totally different player, regardless of the triple double. i mentioned after the last game that kemba was not penetrating at all. he changed that tonight and was frequently driving the lane. when he is aggressive and penetrates the defense like that, good things are bound to happen.

having boris out there with kemba really helped... especially good boris, who showed up tonight.

i know we have all mentioned it before, but kemba's rebounding is impressive. he really goes after ever loose ball. i love that.

and the best part about the game tonight... they gave away 10,000 tyson chandler bobcats jerseys. i guess that was a tribute to his awesomeness.

I'm quite sure everyone on this board generally wants and hopes for Kemba to be a successful point guard, its just when the Kemba homeboys abuse and put down every other member of the team and coaching staff its hard not to react. Same for the BB homeboys.

We're all Bobcats fans and want the young players to grow, but its going to take time and its going to be a long season of losing. Silas will continue to play the veterans to try and scratch out a win, as veterans just know the system and make less mistakes.

This is just the cold reality of it, we need to be patient and be happy that we are finally rebuilding properly.

Pretty amazing result when you look at the numbers.

Of our starters we had:
Our PG post a triple double.
Our SF post a double double.
Our PF post a double double.

Our 6th man put up 23pts on high efficiency.
We had more FTA's.
We had almost 3 times more offensive rebounds.
We had more total rebounds.
We had more assists.

We had all that going for us but we still lost!!

I like PGs who rebound on defense because they need to be carrying up the floor for the break. Rondo is another example.
