I agree that the Mad House on McDowell is when the Phoenix Suns fan base was at its prime. I am not too set on Robert Sarver being the lead on the "Planet Orange" theme. That is a marketing decision that I am sure was not his doing. The colors are purple and orange and that was them working in orange. The organization tied a fan media outlet into the theme with Planetorange.net (which has now been removed) and there will be a new website that will launch within weeks that will bring multiple social media channels together for the fans.
As for the Suns value, you are correct. Robert and his partners purchased the franchise at around $410 million and they are worth $395 million currently and dropped 4% since last year. Since the deep playoff run in the past, season tickets have declined each season and that is still the case now. There are major concerns that Robert and the front office have with regards to the direction of the organization.
I have been attending games here in Phoenix since I moved here in 1993 and I did not just arrive on the scene. I have been there through the good, the bad and what is looking like the ugly times. My passion for the Suns is just that. I care about the community, the players, the organization and other fans of basketball and the Phoenix Suns in particular. I will always be there and my goal with Mr.ORNG is to get us, as the Sixthman, to truly make a difference for our players. To be a Portland or OKC where other teams have difficulty playing at USAC and our guys feed off of that.
Going into this season, we were right in the middle of the NBA for attendance and I would suspect that is going to be worse after this season. We also face a point in our franchise where there is a gap in the "old school" fans and the "new school." The many original season ticket holders are passionate and care about the team, but are not as into the game in terms of making an impact on the atmosphere and the "newer" fans, that will be around for the next 40-60 years are trying to bring this team and arena to life. That is it. That simple.
Regardless of whether Robert sells the team or not, we have guys out on the court that play for us night in and night out and that is who I am there to support. There will be times that we have owners, presidents, general managers and coaches that may not be the best fit, but regardless of all of that, we still have guys out on that court representing the Phoenix Suns and that is what we need to support.

I am able to attend every home game, because of my work schedule, which I am blessed to have. As for the road games that I attend, I select a major road trip each season and plan my vacation from work around that trip. Just another way to show my support for the guys and the team.

I will be around for good. Always love different ways of interacting with other basketball fans. It is unfortunate for people to hate on anyone they do not know. It may just be my belief in how I was raised, but I do not take offense to judgment passed by those that have not taken the opportunity to get to know me on a personally level.

I am posting a couple of things now that I think you all would like to read.

See thats a true fan planning your vacation around the Suns road trip!

Back when we obtained Penny (if anyone remembers back court 2000 lol) I took my gf on a trip to Orlando so we could see the Suns play vs the Magic in Pennys first game back there in a Suns uniform. Had a great time. Just had to take my girl to sea world and the universal theme park so she would approve; we also ate dinner at a restaurant called 'NBA city' and no kidding about half the Suns were there eating and left at the same time we did. Got some great pick with me and my girl sandwiching Jason Kidd and also Toby Bailey lol.

Ahhh good times.

I remember when I first "got" the genius of the logo. It's been miles and miles away the best logo in the league for me ever since.

Also, why do you guys love purple so much? I haven't been a life-long Suns fan so I wouldn't know.

Am I missing something ?

Edit: I'd guess you are referring to the bird mixed in with the flames. Yes, that is pretty 'boss'.

Keep in mind .... for real change....

$400,000,000 is 4 million X $100...or 400,000 X $1000. Help me buy this team.

I can't speak for everyone, but I think it has more to do with respecting and embracing the history of the franchise than the color itself. Purple and Orange have been there since the beginning and there would be an uproar if it was ever changed.
