I know they can't blitz or stunt in the Pro Bowl but it seems like the offensive and defensive lines use to at least try. This is truly a glorified 7 on 7.

I was really hoping the AFC would just let Rodgers score a TD after catching his own pass. I know people would've been pissed, but it would have been greatness.

I'll bet this game feels totally normal for McCarthy watching his defense constantly gamble and give up big plays.

I just watched the 1st quarter to watch Rodgers and the rest of the Packer starters. I know Pro Bowl is pointless, but this year was off the charts IMO.

I did like Jennings' gloves. Those were awesome.

I just saw the highlights on ESPN, the line play on both sides of the ball was absolutely hilarious. Same with the socalled tackling.

You'd think the NFL would be to embarrassed by these displays to even bother keep playing this game, but i heard on PTI that around 12 million people still tuned in to watch 11 guys on defense stand around and walk/jog.

And it beats the NBA allstar game ratings. Incredible.

I'm pretty sure last year's Pro Bowl had a higher rating than the MLB All-Star Game.

All-Star games kind of suck.

Yeah, I think they were a bigger deal before all the national TV deals when your only chance to see some of the players from outside markets was the all-star games. Nowadays everyone has a chance to see these players on a weekly basis for the most part so its no big deal and the NFL obviously doesn't want their stars/players getting injured in a meaningless exhibition game. I'm guessing at this point the players care more because they get a free trip to Hawaii and they can use it as leverage in contract negotiations.

There's been talk this week about changing it to "winner take all". First off, the CBA doesn't allow that, and secondly these guys still aren't going to risk getting injured for what, to them, is chump change. I don't know what the answer is. Some suggest a type of skills competition but who cares about Rodgers throwing a ball at targets. And there already is something similar during the offseason that no one watches.

Best I can come up with is name the Pro Bowl team, take all the money given to players and give it to charity and cancel the game itself. Players can still claim to be a "Pro Bowler" and get whatever contract incentive may come with that.

I have always said instead of seeing a Pro Bowl, I would like to see the worst NFL team go against the best college team.

They used to have the college all star game, until the mid 70's. The best rookies would attend their own training camp and play against the previous seasons champs. It was at Soldiers Field. NFL usually won of course but not every year. One of Lombardi's Packers teams lost once lol. Thinking about it now it's insane that they would let their draft picks miss real training camp to do this.

This is all over the place, it will be interesting to see his reaction from his fellow Pro Bowlers

Criticism of the play in Sunday's Pro Bowl reached a new level when Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers blasted the effort of some NFC teammates Tuesday.

I was a little bit disappointed. I felt like some of the guys on the NFC side embarrassed themselves.

"I'll be honest with you," Rodgers said on ESPN 540 in Milwaukee. "I was a little bit disappointed. I felt like some of the guys on the NFC side embarrassed themselves."

The AFC routed the NFC 59-41 in a game that drew boos at Aloha Stadium for its lack of early intensity. Rodgers, who started and played the first quarter for the NFC, didn't name specific players.

"I was just surprised that some of the guys either didn't want to play or when they were in there didn't put any effort into it," Rodgers said.

Avoiding injuries in a meaningless all-star game is a high priority for many players. Rodgers, however, said that playing half-speed isn't the answer.

"I've always found that when you're going that tempo, that's when the injuries are going to happen, not if you're going full speed," Rodgers told ESPN 540. "You're more likely to get an injury standing around a pile or just going through it half-speed."
