What more can we say about Anderson Varejao? I know the Cavs are working hard to push an all star appearance for him, but man does he actually deserve it.

By him, you are referring to Kyrie Irving right?

Scott will start Erden or Samuels when Jamison is traded

+1

I agree, Jamison is being show cased for a possible trade.

Nice solid learning game, for the young guys, about defense helping you have a chance to win.

The more I see Andy playing at this level, the more I want to keep him here. He's such a crafty player, really fun to watch.

Great game from Gee too. He's looking like he'll be a very solid rotation player for some time.

Also, Kyrie :o

Gilbert better be ready to pay off the coaches if he ever wants that to happen.

The ASG is about flashiness and getting the absolute best players currently/ever in the game on the court at the same time. AV doesn't fill either of those needs.

The other rookie, Mychal Thompson, also meeds more burn. Smart player, good defender, I think we have a steal in him....

This year is turning into a perfect storm for Varejao to be selected as an All-Star reserve, Horford is out, Bogut is out, Varejao is 5th in the league in rebounding (1st for offensive rebounds). It seems like a toss up between Chandler, Hibbert, and Varejao at this point.

**edit**
I forgot about Greg Monroe...

I'd imagine Hibbert would get in because a) he's playing better than AV but more importantly b) the Pacers have exceeded expectations.

Monroe is playing real well but it's pretty rare for a player on such a bad team to get the nod...

Off topic, but anyone else find it weird to see Danny Green playing a decent amount for the Spurs? I thought that guy was going to be out of the league. He has a couple 20 point games for them.

I actually liked Green and had hopes of him rounding into a rotation player. He seems to be the epitome of a Pops role player... as long as he keeps knocking down shots.

I had no idea he was picked up by the Spurs last year. I'm surprised to see him shooting 40+% from 3, I didn't think he had a very good looking stroke. I thought we drafted him so he could be a dancer on the bench with LBJ.

I don't think he would have amounted to much here. Seems like Pops got on him to work harder and it's starting to pay off.

So Thompson only 4 plus minutes so far. Byron Scott is priceless. Samardo chucks and causes turnover but stays on the floor

Cavs playing like crap except Varejao. Anyone else remember the good old days when Varejao was a mediocre hustle player that was on a bad contract?

Varejao was good, but unfortunately the Cavs come up short

Good loss

well now with av's play the cavs front office will probably get even more delusional with their demands....
