Chad Ford's mock draft simulator is up. I actually got this on my first try:

N'Dyiae had like 8 blocks one game for the Raps, and headline the following day in a TO paper was, I believe, "Nobody Blocks Shots Like Your Mamaou!". I see that is being rehashed all over the place for this kid, as with every shot blocking Mamadou since. But it still works. Now that I think of it, the TO media probably stole it from somebody else.

Assuming we stay where we are - Davis, Drummond, Barnes and Kidd-Gilchrist will all likely be gone.

I guess Kabongo is as good as it gets for us.

Jumper looks smooth, as usual. A couple great drives/fakes but lost the handle - he needs to clean that up but his ability to get by the first layer or 2 into the paint is improving, and the paint is more packed in college. Had a ridiculous reverse layup - one of the best shots I've seen in a while. In general still looks like the most consistent and polished player. He should step in and average 15+ as a rookie and be up over 20 by his soph or junior season, and still provide terrific perimeter D.

Edit: Reverse layup can be seen in the highlight package here: http://scores.espn.go.com/ncb/recap?gameId=320290153 although there seems to be a glitch in the video right when he goes up on my computer.

If MKG and Lamb are really going as low as 7-11, maybe we don't have to be so worried about the tank after all...

It's a really deep draft, at least until guys start to pull out. There's no LeBron-type surefire #1 ROY HOF type guy but there are a bunch of high level, potentially best player on a team types.

Barnes, Davis, Drummond, Lamb, Robinson, Jones III, Sullinger, MKG, Beal, even Austin Rivers (who I think is overrated), maybe Miller - that could be 11 guys right there. And someone always reaches or drafts for need, so you could see Marshall, Henson, Moultrie, Leonard, T Jones, Zeller etc. making pushes towards the top 10 as well.

My personal feeling is that you do everything you can, including trade, to come out of this draft with Barnes. Unfortunately I think by EOY that will mean needing a top 2 pick.

If teams really overrate some of the bigs in this draft, Lamb would be perfect for us.

Lamb falling out of the top 10 and not being the first SG off the board, would be the dumbest thing in yeras
It's going to be a glorious day... I feel my luck could change

Thanks a bunch!

Well (at least according to this mock), looks like we're getting Bradley Beal or Jeremy Lamb (if the season ended today). lol

If we go through this season and leave with Cody Zeller...I'm going to lose my marbles.

And if we end up late lottery, I hope we don't settle for Kabongo...I'd rather take a risk on Miller. And I'm not looking the way our draft position looks at all. Tied for 7th?! We can't afford that.

We gotta out tank SAC and make it into the Top 5. Even if it means we gotta roll out the vets for major minutes. We need an SF badly. And not Chandler

The ESPN Mock draft simulator has us drafting Harrison Barnes over Andre Drummond should we go 2nd. Thoughts? Think BC would do that?

Kabongo simply isn't late lottery material in this draft, he hasn't shown enough so far to warrant being taken that high. I think the potential is there, but he's still a ways away (and it would probably be in his best interests to return for another year, although I'm a bit selfish and want him here).

There's a pretty good chance that no matter who selects him, we'll be able to trade Ed for his rights on draft night (perhaps we won't even have to do that and getting a late 1st from a Barbosa or Calderon trade will be enough).

I think he's just put his BPA thing in (he has Barnes over Drummond). The mock draft usually doesn't become team specific with the selections until later on.

Are you sure? He has Drummond going 2nd on the default.

yeah you're right, it looks like he did it earlier this year (last year I don't think he had those until well into the draft process). I doubt a GM would take Barnes over Drummond at #2. I could see maybe PJIII, or perhaps Lamb, but not really with Barnes.

These rankings are really bad though, he has the Spurs selecting Austin Rivers with the #2 pick

If Jeremy Lamb, Bradley Beal and Quincy Miller are outside of the top 10 they're steals imo. Too much talent and potential given up.
Basketball is like poetry in motion, cross the guy to the left, take him back to the right, he's fallin back, then just J right in his face. Then you look at him and say, "What?" - Jesus Shuttlesworth
