Memorabilia question...

Post#1 » by mybloodisorange » Mon Jan 30, 2012 6:16 pm

I know nothing about collectables or basketball shoes so I just wanted to see if anyone could help me here. A good friend of mine got a pair of Jason Kidd's game worn shoes both autographed like 12 years ago and gave them to me as a gift. Im not really a collector so I decided to dump them but before throwing them up on Ebay I just wanted to see if anyone here wanted them for cheap or knew anything about them. And just so you know im not just lazy I spent over an hour looking around on the internet but couldnt find them - I never knew there were so many basketball shoes lol.

They are black, white and purple and have the number 32 on a flap that folds over the top of the zipper which zips up over the laces. Nike Flight Systems Foam Composit Technology is imprinted on the bottom and the bottom of the shoes are all purple. There is also a black tag inside with "Jason Kidd" imprinted with raised purple letters. Size 14.

I ran across them the other day when I was cleaning out my closet and I have no use for them so if you know any Kidd fans or have any idea what they might be worth (im assuming not much) please post.
If someone here wants them you can have them first dibbs im not looking to cash in I'd rather have someone who actually wants them to have them.

My nephew is a huge Jason Kidd fan, these would surely make his day. Do you mind posting a picture by any chance?

How much were you looking for them? If it's a reasonable amount and they're in decent condition, I wouldn't mind picking 'em up as a gift for the little guy.

Sure thing thats why i posted here. I'm sure he'll like them since they were actually worn in a game although he didnt tell me which one specifically. I'm glad I posted this now like I said i'd rather have a Kidd fan have them than me and honestly im not really a collectable type of guy either way. I'll get my girl to set up the picture asap :p

I live in north phoenix btw around the Bell rd I-17 area. Back soon with a photo->

These are Nike Air Flightposite 1 PE (Player Exclusive). Here is a link to an image of Penny PEs

Player exclusives are usually expensive (especially autographed), but i think the mission of making a kid happy could make the price reasonable. :D

I had my gf do the pics and upload them but she was trying to get to bed so when the image sizes got messed up I let her off the hook. I suck at anything like that shes my techie. And thanks for the help with the link to the Penny shoes yes thats them at the bottom except there is a number 32 on the flap and his name is on the inside. And im not looking to rip the guy off like I said I just want someone who wants them to have them.... well wait a second how much are we talking here 8-)

Sorry, couldn't find a valid price check on these. For sneaker collectors, who usually impose unreasonably high values on such items (myself included), i'd say these could be sold easily for $200+ (maybe up to $400-500...not sure though). Anyway, you both can decide how much they are really worth for you and agree on a much more reasonable price.
