I just heard a report from the those wacky Canadians over at Thebasketballjones that stated only few NBA teams have had more than a handful of practices. The Lakers were said to have had less than 3 formal practices since the beginning of the season!!!

Why only 3? No time due to the Lakers having the craziest schedule at the opening of all the NBA teams. So imagine if the Lakers actually got some practice time in! It was also said that OKC and Miami have had the most practice time... Just something to consider.

I can't wait for the Olympics after watching that Kobe-Rubio exchange.

For tonight's game, the Nets are missing Okur, Petro, Morrow, and Stevenson. Along with already missing Brooks and Lopez.

Nets are either faking and tanking super hard on purpose or they're the most unluckiest team ever.

Sorry if this is a stupid question... I value my time too much to follow the Nets...

Could they be keeping folks out in prep for a trade?

lol no one wants to trade for Okur, Petro and Stevenson. and lopez has been injured for quite some time. we really should take a page from their book, at this rate they are gonna have a top 5 pick AND enough cap space to sign Howard/Dwill. thats scary.

lmao. And I don't think so because I don't think the Magic are going to trade him until after the ASG.

The only injury I know for sure is MarShon's because he looked off and hobbled. The rest I have no clue as to why they're out. With the obvious exclusion of Brook Lopez.

Well, they can't trade Okur, Humphries, Williams or Stevenson right now according to TC...

So in order to land Dwight, it'd have to be Farmar, Petro, Morrow, Lopez, James and Brooks for Dwight... That's a lot of bodies leaving a small team to begin with...

Okur and Humphries would almost have to be included to take back Turk too...

So I wasn't really thinking about Dwight necessarily, but to sit that many people for no apparent reason, just made me think Trade.

Is there a real possibility Lakers get NJ and Orlando to trade both their stars? Or would Stern step in and nix it? Anybody wanna bet?

More likely we get neither than we get both.

stern cannot nix anything because the league doesnt own NJ or Orlando. really dont know why you would even think that.

Looking at Wes Johnson and that dude just has lost some confidence. He looks a little like Trevor before he got to L.A., except he's more talented than Trevor. I would take a shot on a guy like that to see what he can do for the team.

Actually, I think the League still has to approve all trades, so it technically could happen...

But I think the legitimate reasons for the League to block a trade in that scenario is pretty limited...
Like if the numbers didn't add up or it didn't satisfy the rules of the CBA or something...

I could actually see the league somehow stepping in and forcing NJ not to deal with us if it appears we have enough assets to swing a Deron trade after trading for Howard.

No, If any trade were to be nixed, it would be the first one to get us a superstar. Because once that piece falls into place, the acquirement of the second star would be inevitable, hence the veto of the Cp3 trade.
