History in the making: Hawks v. Raptors

Post#1 » by parson » Wed Feb 1, 2012 2:14 am

1968
--Dr Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated.
--Robert Kennedy assassinated.
--Soviet forces invade Czechoslovakia ending Prague Spring liberalization.
--Student riots in Paris and other European cities.
--Communists launch Tet offensive in Vietnam (ending in a United States military victory, but a psychological defeat).
--Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty established.
--Equatorial Guinea independent from Spain.
--Gateway Arch in St. Louis is dedicated.

And on Dec. 14, 1968, the Atlanta Hawks finished a 5-game road trip with their 4th victory - an accomplishment they would not repeat for over 40 years.

Tonight, will it be history in the making?

Sorry. Came in, found the game and saw no one had a game thread created.

Of course, the way we are, it could be that everyone is watching but no one has anything to complain about, so no one cares to post.

Tank Nation rolled on, the Raps were dead for millions of years before the team even got to the White Vegas/TDot/whatever they call it.

Please notice that Joe had 30 points in only 30 minutes of work. It was that kind of game for him.

Teague was a blur.
Kirk was gooood. Man split several doubleteams to get to the basket.
Zaza is still a great golden god.
Ivan Johnson is a bad [SHUT YO MOUTH!]...
MacGrady could barely play basketball, he was licking his lips so much at the Raptors' surrender. "Move over, Joe. I'm going for 30, myself!"

Marvelous made a couple of appearances, then went back to sleep.
Josh looked at the game, saw he wasn't needed, and mailed it in.

I call it Toronto, a far greater city in every aspect than Atlanta. Try crawling out from under your rock once in a while. Yes I'm a troll, no I don't care how you feel about it.

Got to give Atlanta the edge in rap music, bar trivia, and mild winters. Troll or not, be objective.

Sry I didn't create a thread today, I was too busy at baseball tryouts to do so.

Don't forget about quality of professional Sports teams, it's no competition in that category.

Enjoy your season but I'm sure your time could be better spent enjoying your wonderful city.

You're not only a troll, you're embarrassing yourself. Atlanta is loaded with culture - even if it's not your kind.

And please don't go any further with this -- I think I know what you're thinking. Speaking nicely, you keep to your wine and cheese (and mayonnaise) and we'll stick to our Coca Cola and BBQ.
