Would be pretty embarrassing if Howard was representing another team at the All Star game in Orlando. I understand that clearly, don't know why you don't.

Alex Kennedy @AlexKennedyNBA
Many teams have expressed interest in point guard Ramon Sessions, but sources say no trade is imminent. tinyurl.com/7a5p7mw

Alex Kennedy @AlexKennedyNBA
The Toronto Raptors are expected to pursue Wilson Chandler. However, Chandler has several other options to consider:

seems like something/someone doesnt want us to trade with NJ

1st lopez, now brooks :-(

i really thing NJ was the best partner as they could swallow our bad contracts (duhon+Q+hedo) along D12 AND send us back many 1st picks (2012 NJ+hou) along Lopez+brooks+ expiering contracts (humphrey+okur)

This Dwight **** isn't making sense anymore. Dwight is getting paid under the table, with the way Otis has managed this whole thing, wouldn't be surprised if Russian owner got to him to wink wink.

This is the mentality i dont understand. Because as far as i see it, its going to be really embarassing either way. Its not like Otis is tricking anyone by holding onto Dwight, the $hit has totally hit the fan, and even if we do have Dwight in a Magic jersey come the ASG, its going to represent absolutely nothing of value to this organisation with the amount of controversy surrounding it. Infact, at the rate in which things are souring, its a possibility he could be drawing boos by then.

Wouldnt it be better to make the trade and perhaps have a new allstar in our uniform for the ASG? Imagine if we had Bynum, our new starting C, and he was super pumped for the future as a member of the team, and he was a starter for the east, would anyone in Orlando serious be sulking about Dwight? I wouldnt. It would be a mini celebration infact, a way for us to show Dwight that we dont need him anymore. Plus we would have JJ/Ryno in the 3pt shootout. Plus, who is to say that we wouldnt actually be good? We could be building new chemistry and getting ready for a playoff run.

I certainly know which of the two options id be choosing... Holding Dwight made sense when this **** was still in the dark, but now its out, the players have turned on him, the media have turned on him, the fans have turned on him, and it is clear there is no chance in hell he will play with the magic next season. Time to look to the future and have the ASG be the start of a new chapter, in our new arena, looking forward to the playoffs etc, and getting ready for a push after the allstar break, rather than further marinating in this doom and gloom type atmosphere...

Nothing magical about Howard’s latest rant

Howard didn’t name names. He handed down a blanket indictment.

“We all have to get better,” he said, “but if you don’t want to be out there, don’t dress up. If you don’t want to play, stay home. People work too hard. I want to win a championship.”

We’ll have to take Howard’s word on that ... but not as a member of this fraternity.

On some abstract basis, I find it pathetically peculiar someone so forcefully committed to fleeing the Magic Kingdom is upset when others aren’t giving their undivided devotion.

Say what we want about how LeBron James mishandled his exit courteousness from Cleveland. But at least James and Toronto’s Chris Bosh played out their contracts and were prepared to forfeit a season’s pay and larger annual bumps by signing with Miami.

Conversely, Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul, and now Howard polluted their teams’ environment before commencement exercises kicked off for the Nuggets, Hornets and Magic. No being possibly left short for them.

Their self-absorbed strategy: Demand a trade, select a preferred destination or three and extend for the Larry Bird rights maximum.

I find it amusing Anthony, Paul and Howard profess endless love for the fans and the cities they abandoned.

Meanwhile, not once have any of them confessed to suffering so much as a pang of concern for the team instability they created, unresponsiveness by teammates (a Magic affliction Howard hasn’t quite grasped) and disarray left behind, in New Orleans, anyway, so far.

The Magic have a chance to strike it rich depending on what the Lakers, Nets, Mavericks and Bulls (Howard tagged them on his privileged list) are willing to exchange for baby-sitting him for the next five seasons.

Chicago cannot contemplate surrendering Joakim Noah and Luol Deng, it says here. Subtracting them from their untainted mix is a recipe for ruination. Notice, you don’t see Derrick Rose petitioning for a superstar sidekick. He would never denigrate his flawlessly compatible teammates like that. What’s more, he recognizes they’ve got a first-class thing going on.

Yeah, that’s what the Bulls need, a free-throw shooting liability who can’t be thrown the ball in the final five minutes of close games; the guy who led the Magic to a first-round playoff outage last season against the Hawks; and the mope who publicly whines about teammates, Van Gundy and general manager Otis Smith.

On second thought, Howard does have a fairly strong case in all regards.

Of course, should managing partner Jerry Reinsdorf acquire Howard we’ll all know his next move already is planned ... bring back Phil Jackson.

this would happen at the end of the deadline so i couldn't get the full trade in. but would anyone do this trade? we get rondo and bynum and J oneal and dump bbd, celtics get gasol and jameer to reload for another run, and the lakers get dwight and bass and BBD.

Boston has a ton of money next year, doubt they want to waste it on Gasol now that their old players have finally gotten off their contracts.

Boston is a center away from contending again. you give them gasol at the 5 with jameer at point and they have a lineup of

jameer
allen
pierce
garnett
gasol

they could end up with another title.

Alex Kennedy @AlexKennedyNBA
Jackson has already been suspended twice this year. First time, he overslept and missed shootaround. Second time, verbal abuse of official.

2h Alex Kennedy Alex Kennedy @AlexKennedyNBA
Stephen Jackson didn't play in Milwaukee's win over Detroit on Monday. Jackson is frustrated, but sources say he hasn't demanded a trade.

Alex Kennedy @AlexKennedyNBA
Stephen Jackson is someone to keep an eye on as the trade deadline approaches. The Bucks won't pay him $9,260,000 to sit on the bench.

Stephen Jackson is certainly a guy who could help us, but I don't believe he's going to help us turnaround the franchise and keep Dwight. I think Stephen Jackson is a step in the right direction, and in addition to other players, would help our team down the road. It would be pretty awesome to do a Hedo for Jackson swap, but again, that doesn't really make us that much better.

if dwight would resign because of jackson you would have to deal hedo...jackson is definately better on d and atleast compareable if not more aggressive on o.....especially if livingston came in the deal...i could see him getting mins right away at the backup pg

Is it just me that would actually prefer to have Dwight traded, like even if we could somehow make a trade to keep him? I just dont like anything about the guy now. Its gone to far, and i dont think anything that is said or done can change the feelings our organisation has towards him.

Cant stand to even look at the guy anymore... pretty much not gonna watch any more magic games until hes traded. Just cant face it...

You HAVE TO wait until 1 or BOTH of those bad contracts become eligible to be traded first. It is just dunb not to use this one time opportunity (trading dwight) to rid the cap of unwanted/unearned contracts.
A smart coach once said, "Potential just means you're not good enough yet." Playing on potential is like living on air: It's essential, but if thats all you have, you're eventually going to starve.

You aren't the only one. he has this franchise hamstrung completely. he needs to go ASAP. keeping him here just makes things worse. he wants out, well lets ship his ass out. thanks for a good 8 years dwight, but you've worn out your welcome.

I've watched a lot of Pistons games so far... I'm a huge fan of Greg Monroe... dude is beasting this year... grabbing boards and he's making some great passes in the interior... he's a really good passing big man.

I would definitely trade Ryan Anderson + Daniel Orton (or whoever, draft picks) for him... but that would be a pipedream.

Then ship Howard to NJ for Lopez/Marshon/picks... form a Twin Tower front-court with Monroe/Lopez (SICK!), and reboot the back-court with Brooks, Redick, Wafer, and Liggins (move Nelson, Hedo, J-Rich, Duhon, Q-Rich, and Baby during the offseason somehow)... and the pick(s) we get (from NJ) will hopefully be lottery picks (which will help us rebuild).

Hey, a man dream...
