Re: Ranking the Specific Player Skills to Target
This team needs a true slashing SG, (which would really compliment Rubio and shooters) and a Center that can rebound and that has a decent face up jump shot.

Re: Ranking the Specific Player Skills to Target
What do you guys think about a possible return of KG in this offseason for the veteran minimum? I think he still loves the City/Organization and he could bring some defensive intensity and veteran leadership to our young team...

I'm not sure why rebounding is so emphasized by everyone, we have arguably the best rebounder in the league. I'd much rather have a Center focused on D if I had to choose.

Love doesn't play 48 mpg

Re: Ranking the Specific Player Skills to Target
I tend to think that Bogut would be less likely to be hurt if he wasn't the focal point of both the offense and the defense. He wouldn't be required to create on the offensive end and doesn't have to clean up after as many poor outside defenders.
As far as KG goes, I'd trade for him right now if it was an option. Miller/Tolliver/Ridnour/Ellington/Darko/Randolph can all be sent out with no tears shed. Guy would absolutely set the tone for us defensively as a team and he still alters a lot of shots. With Williams/Beasley/Love/Pek he can keep his minutes in the high 20s/low30s

We are tied for 12th in RPG differential. Not the biggest need, but not the smallest either.

It's not a huge issue now with Pek playing so well and Beasley back, but when those two weren't there it was Love and nobody else rebounding. So, at least for my thinking, if they're going to be replacing Pekovic they need to do it with a rebounder or else it's back to getting outrebounded and losing games.
Plus, finding a good rebounder is easier than finding a good shot blocker and, IMO, they have roughly the same impact anyway, so yeah.

KG is making $21,247,044 this year, we would have to trade at least $14.1 million in salaries back to boston for him, considering Boston already has 15 guaranteed guys on their roster it becomes fairly difficult without absorbing a lot of crap short contracts from them, turns into a 10 player trade pretty fast.
Will never happen.
Ray Allen is only getting $10 million

Re: Ranking the Specific Player Skills to Target
Two months later, anyone want to change anything? Also, what REALISTIC targets are out there in the draft and free agency who have the skills you are looking for?

I think we should target two wing players that know how to play basketball.

guys that can create for themselves or others, or at least have a decent all around game to build on: Jason Terry, Kidd, Mayo, Green (Jeff, Gerald, both?), Gay via trade. E Gordon fits, but his injuries scare me away considering how much salary the Wolves would have to offer to separate themselves from the pack. Batum might be an option, I wouldn't mind overpaying for him. I don't expect a big move though; the Wolves are already probably trying to budget for Pekovic and Rubio.

Re: Ranking the Specific Player Skills to Target
Now that our offseason is almost complete, how did we do compared to your list? Are you happy with what we've done?
