Mullens wasn't a D Leaguer, he was a draft pick.

Mullens actually played in the D-League at one point and did pretty well.

im in the "lets see what higgins can do first" camp. he's only played a handful of minutes, both times in garbage time as a pg. i'd like to see him get a few minutes as a sg playing next to kemba or dj.

He played there in the way that Terrence Williams played there. He was still under contract, just getting PT.

Former Wolfpack star Brandon Costner is tearing up the D-League as well.

Worth a shot. SF has been a hole this season. Reminds me, at work people were talking about how Fed Ex has won a larger market share. UPS has failed to deliver.

Time for the Cory Higgins Nepotism Experiment to come to an end.

To reiterate the premise of this thread: This club is in a unique spot this year. Expectations for winning are low. Fans are excited about finding new young players. This gives mgt an opportunity to shake some bushes, see whether it can find a diamond in the rough. The D-League gives them a chance to try guys out for next to nothing. Why not give them a look?

Elijah Millsap 14 games later, still shooting 48% from 3 pt land - a desperate need - 21 ppg, 6 rpg, 2.5 spg.

Edwin Ubiles legit 6'6", 6'7 in shoes, with 6'10 wingspan, 20 ppg, 6 rpg, 3.5 apg

Let Higgins secure his son's future. Our wing issues will be settled this summer with either Harrison Barnes or Jeremy Lamb. No one in the DLeague can hold a candle to either one of these kids.

Okay, how bout this, then, while DJA is out, how about bringing Ben Uzoh back over Hig-son? Uzoh is a Cho type player. I'm convinced that's why he was in camp. Uzoh was on Hollinger's All-Defense team last yr as an undrafted player for the Nets. We could use his length and D (and though he had trouble finishing I thought he showed good chemistry with Kemba in preseason games). Uzoh would actually rotate on defense and play some D and keep us from routinely having 3 pters rained on our heads (36-4 last night v LA)

What's so irksome is that Hig-son feels unwaivable, but his spot on the team should be the one that allows us the most flexibility to get some help (I'm not begging for wins, but would like us to stop losing by 30 pts and getting destroyed by their scrubs).

And, the other thing, I can't get past Cory Higgins as a symbol of the FOM regime. FOM has got to go. It's time for Rod Higgins to go. Higgins over Uzoh was a victory for Higgins over Cho. That can't continue to happen. Hand over the keys to the Tank to Cho. Give fans a new hope that we are moving forward, cut off the chains of FOM that continue to shackle this franchise.

I can't possibly imagine how Higgins is the highest scorer in the history of ANY university it blows my mind. He sucks at everything. Goudelock on the Lakers..you can tell how he was the leading scorer at his school easily. I don't get how Higgins got buckets

This is a rent payment from MJ to his buddy Hig's. Look, I hate papa Higgins, as he is not a good basketballl executive, and only hurts this team with his poor work. BUT, he a friend of MJ. Jordan is a poor executive because he doesn't have a business mindset. He has some guy who (reportedly) is sharp in these matters to guide him out of the weeds, but Jordan is loyal, and Higgins is a friend. MJ should keep Higgins as a friend but employ him in another capacity.

Never liked the hiring of his son. Cory is keeping us in the tank, so more power to that. What a dreadful season.

I am still shocked that Goudelock was drafted so late in the draft as it was... I mean he embarrased UNC and would regularly pull up from near half court with a man in his face and drain a shot, Jimmer has **** on this guy in terms of shooting ability...

Well, this is it. The last day for the Son Spot. After today this thread can be retired and we can all sit back and watch Cory Hig-son shoot 10%. His continued presence on this team should be an embarrassment to management and an insult to team fans. The cost? Cho-type players like Jeremy Lin.

There's a time to either go play in Europe or China, or get a real-world job and play at the YMCA. I don't give a s*** which choice he makes, I just hope Higgins has to make one after 6PM today. :naaa:
