Lol.

I find it hilarious that our FO and scouts are so incredibly inept at signing free agents and calling up D League guys on vet min contracts when a bunch of other teams around the league like San Antonio, Golden State and Detroit find hidden gems all the time.

I could do a better job then our scouts, I know that for sure.
I think I could probably do a better job from my computer, let alone if I was a paid scout who had access to the game tape, player agents, plane tickets to go to D League and Euro games and the ability to talk to others in the know paid to do this.

Comical.

It's too bad we won't be able to trade Bogans anytime soon, he could have been the centerpiece in a trade for Dwight.

Hey i'm not even a Nets fan but I don't think it's a bad pick up at all.. I mean you guys still have a few holes but a

Williams/Farmer
Stevenson/Morrow
Brooks/Bogans

rotation isn't bad at all? The gunner in Morrow, defensive minded stoppers & the young guy.
You guys have a big hole cause Lopez but I mean if he was healthy, this really wouldn't be a bad team.

It's a good pick up. What Vince meant is why even call up Owens in the first place when Bogans was a possibility? Bogans can't hit a shot to save his life, but he can play defense.

Yes.

And also if you are going to ignore guys like Bogans, why are we not finding the Danny Green's of the world?

Lets flip Bogans and Petro for Kevin Love.

Then we could trade Shawne Williams and Farmar for Rudy Gay

Then we trade Sheldon Williams for Dwight Howard.

D Will, Brooks, Gay, Love and Howard with Lopez on the bench. Thank god we got Bogans!!!

Whooaaa.. hold on a sec. I expect an unprotected first rounder coming back if we're dealing Jordan Farmar.

Come one VC, you're upset because of our inability of signing fringe rotational players like Danny Green?

I'm not upset, I just find it troubling or maybe just annoying.

And Danny Green is showing himself to be more then fringe rotational, and that's the kind of guys I am talking about. Not finding the guys that become 10 year career 20mpg rotation players on top squads and instead signing dudes who play 2 games, are god awful and never play in the NBA again.

I think you're overrating green. Through out the years the spurs have made players looked better than they actually were: Devin Brown, Roger Mason, Jacque Vaughn, Fabricio Oberto among others. all players either sucking horribly after leaving the Spurs or being out of the league all together. Danny Green will soon be added to this list.

What do you mean? We've been playing Shelden Williams out of position this entire season. He's a natural SF. We already have one.

Off topic, but not thread worthy: Larry Hughes has been waived.

I agree, his best position should have been a stay at home dad and made the real ball player get back to balling
