Wait, so is he sacrificed by being drafted into the NBA by the black hole known as our beloved Toronto Raptors?

If I see Drummond walks toward to a guy that's down on the floor, lend him a hand saying "are you okay, i'm sorry"...he does that again, I swear I'm gonna kill him with my bare hands.

I like PJ3 myself. The issue people have with that particular poster is how he talks down to ever other poster on the board.

He also makes radical statements in order draw attention to himself. Calling PJ3 a once in a decade player and then a couple weeks later declaring Gilchrist as far and away the best player in the draft is just one shining example.

Ugh, Drummond is too stupid, Napier is effin (Please Use More Appropriate Word) and boatright hasn't met a shot he wouldn't take. Its a wonder Lamb's stats are as good as they are.

Steely Reserve wrote:I would really recommend you all stop with the sweeping cross-player comparisons. MKG is not the next Gerald Wallace for Caring Butler. And Harrison Barnes certainly isn't the next Joe Johnson... lol.

I think many of you should take a breath and try to not look at these guys in a vacuum and project their ability at the next level based on their current production. You also have to factor in their college system and their roles within that system. That's why statlines are really inconsequential in the big picture of NBA evaluators, or at least it should be.

Now the biggest victim of being seen in the vacuum is Perry Jones. I know many of you believe I have a fetish for him but in reality, its more about really being able to see how he successful he'll be in the NBA and yet people want to right off for averaging 'only' 7.9 rebounds a game in 31 minutes.

Conversely the same peole will lavish unending praise towards Harrison Barnes when all he does, literally, is shoot the ball. He can't pass. He can't dribble. He can't finish. He can't create. And he's a mediocrity rebounder for his size. I see very wiggle for the guy that will allow him to beat 1-on-1 defense at a premium level. He's essentially still riding the momentum of his hype coming into college.

It's amazing how you all are convinced Barnes is the difference maker you all say you desperately need...lol. It's downright laughable when you contrast it with your view on Perry Jones. It's like you all purposely forget Harrison Barnes struggled mightily before Marshall started spoonfeeding him buckets every game.

But hey... do ya'll. I'm just an observer from afar. My Cavs fanbase have convinced themselves similar, that Harrison is the answer and Perry is the question.

Judging by how you describe him, I'm guessing you haven't seen Barnes play since halfway through his freshman season

Drummond isn't impressing me. Nice size, but he can't shoot the ball and seems to get lost in the plays at times. All project at this point.

I'm firmly convinced Drummond will get a GM fired. I hope its not yours. If this guy is not fool's gold, I don't know who is.

That's not the only thing that gets a GM fired. PJ3 or MKG at the 1st pick will get the entire franchise fired.

And I'm not seeing the shotmaking/playmaking ability from Lamb that you would want from a top-5 selection. I don't know how he'll get his shot off at the next level -- dude is frail as hell.

Probably the first thing you've said that this entire board will wholeheartedly agree with.

You're saying Steely forms his own opinion? Everyone of us here (except you) all agree on Steely being most irrational poster on realgm and he's all about putting down every prospects in an intent to put his PJ3 to god status. For those of us who value some prospects over others, we don't talk nonsense crap about a certain prospect should be #1.

Like Nahom said, we all get it that Steely loves PJ3, but he praises him as if he's without any flaws and that he's going to be better than EVERYONE in this draft which is absolutely bull. Nahom likes Lamb, I like Barnes. But we don't say things like they are better than Davis, they should be drafted 1st over Davis. But Steely does, do you think he's making sense?

If you check his post again, he's talking to us as if why we have cross-player comparisons, We are all comparing the style of play, not looking into their current production to project what player they will become. While I have mention to him about PJ3 avg 'only' 7.9 reb, but look at the game by game, its obvious that Jones doesn't look to rebound every missed shot like Davis or MKG did. The guy is just so passive in all areas of his game. But no, Steely would just love to say PJ3 is the best player ever, he's got no weaknesses. Blah blah blah.

And let's not forget he bailed on PJ3 when he was slumping and declared Gilchricht as far and away the best player in the draft. He then pretends as though that never happened when PJ3 starts playing well again.

The funny thing is, I actually agree with him that PJ3 has huge potential, at least offensively, but it's not as though that's such a radical view. He was considered #1 or #2 in his recruiting class and I think he would have gone top 2 if he came out last year.

Who else on this team can score.....seriously who, I've seen him make great passes like just 15 seconds ago...no one can convert
