Re: Official Raptors 2012 NBA Draft Thread, Part 4
I know that Oriakhi and Drummond are not the perfect fit on the floor together. And neither would bring the ability to faciliate the odd play like Olander does. But then again they would not suck in every other aspect like Olander.
Calhoun should have played them together more often earlier in the season.

Purely as a college basketball fan, the next UConn game at home against Seton Hall will be huge. Its a game they should win on their home court, but the Pirates are a solid outfit, Lose that, and with road games at the Ville and Cuse coming up after that, they could be looking at 4-8 or 5-7 in conference.

Fair enough... that being said not playing them together has been a disaster as well.
Just trying to theorize what is wrong with this team. Role definition maybe? Bad vibes between experienced players who are threatened by Drummond and Boatright.

Passive. They're playing passive, there's absolutely no mental toughness in any of these players.

Guys, what do you think of PJ3 if he has the personality of Qmiller?

Poor fundamentals, Drummond hasn't learned to set a hard pick or boxout, and the team is incapable of attacking a zone defense. Not to mention their defense sucks.

Perry gets doubled the first time he touches it which leads to a wide open 3 point shots. That's an NBA exchange.

Still watching the Raps (true fan I know). Can I get the updates on Quincy Miller until the Raps game is over?

Jonas > Drummond at this point. Let some other team take him in the top 3, smells of Favors to me. Raw and may never get it.
When Chuck Norris was born the doc said "Congratulations, its a man"

He had an open 3, knocked it down. His 2nd three was off from a "triple-threat" move, jabstep first, made the defender goes off balance and he took the 3. And he's abit aggressive on the glass now too.

Seeing through the hype of other prospects, I'm really hoping my Cavs can get him even though they're naive to his talents. I feel like a wise Dad who has to let his kids learn he knows what he's talking about through their failed experiences...lol
