Trade Value of Ridnour and Wes Johnson
Greetings from the Kings board.
As a Kings fan, Ridnour (a "classic" PG is a team need) and Wes Johnson (might not be playing well, but might be useful down the road) are two players that I think would fit great on the Kings. Judging by some of the stuff on the trade board I have seen, it seems to be well established that the Kings and Wolves aren't great trading partners.
So, my question is, what type of players would you be looking for for either of those players? Doesn't have to be from the Kings roster, but in general.

Anyone... i detest both two.
Probably, this Wolves need a shooter with a little more experience than Ellington and no injury problems like Barea. Gibson? Duhon?

I think the goal would to get an athletic, defensive oriented big man. On the kings roster, I would perhaps consider Wes Johnson for Jason Thompson.

Re: Trade Value of Ridnour and Wes Johnson
Ridnour I think would have good trade value due to the fact that people actually think he is a "classic point guard".
Truth is he is horrible and stagnates an offence.
Johnson is one of those guys that probably does not have much value but teams would be interested thinking that a new environment could help him flourish.

Johnson is salvageable!

SAC is one of those teams Luke would be a great fit on, playing alongside a ball-dominant wing like Evans would allow him to be a spot-up shooter.

Re: Trade Value of Ridnour and Wes Johnson
Wes Johnson's trade value is higher than people on this board think IMO. Very athletic, becoming a good defender with lockdown potential, team first/high character guy, drives very well at SF, and just has a broken shot ATM. But that's the easiest thing to fix, and he very likely will fix it.
Ridnour is about the 30th best PG in the NBA on a good contract and an elite midrange and outside shooter. His value varies based on team need.
I'd say Kahn wants something very significant for them, and would rather add Memphis + Utah picks and whatever for a major upgrade or hang on to Wes Johnson and hope his outside shot gets its rotation/form again. It's just flat. Kahn won't sell low.
Ridnour, on the other hand, could be had for a comparative good SG with Barea and Lee back healthy soon. JJ Reddick, for instance.
$0.02

I don't get this. I think Ridnour, Johnson, and Milicic are three guys who would be great fits in Sacramento. Meanwhile, someone like Thornton would be the wing scorer we need, and you can never count out the Adelman/Hayes connection.

Re: Trade Value of Ridnour and Wes Johnson
Both have value here (great backup PG and excellent wing defender). I wouldn't trade ridnour to sacto unless it was something significant coming back considering what a great fit he would be there. Thornton/Evans don't qualify in my opinion. Just think Thornton is a volume player and nothing more.

Re: Trade Value of Ridnour and Wes Johnson
I would love for the Wolves to trade for Marcus. I played ball with him at Kilgore College and had several classes with him. In one class, we even did a presentation together. He can fill it up, but he does have a little bit of Beasley in him in that he doesn't always make the pass and sometimes he can force it. But he is light years better than any SG we have.

Neither team will trade them. Much higher chance for Thornton.

This board will give those players away on any given night.
Looking for a player like Tony Allen.

I don't want to give up on Johnson quite yet.
Ridnour I have wanted moved since around game 50 or so last season. As I said before, stagnates an offence and has no floor general skills.
I don't see why people think he will be good as a spot up shooter next to a ball dominant two. He plays next to a ball dominant point in Rubio and he still dribbles the ball for 10 seconds before doing anything with it... he is useless.
