Just read the Heat offered Pryzbila and Kenyon Martin contracts. No deal, but just on the table.

Anyone else noticed how whenever Blotis makes a multi-player trade it's the throw-in players we get back that end up being better overall or contribute way more than expected compared to the actual core pieces that the trade was built around.

Ryno > VC
Von > BBD
Earl not better than Hedo but I think a case can be made he contributes more than JRich when on the floor

If only he would have gotten like Jordan Crawford or somebody else with Arenas last year.

He is not going to get any playing time. He does not know the offense, he does not know the defensive rotations, he has no practice time to learn, and is the 3rd pg on the depth chart. Also Nelson comes back Monday, Wafer spent a good 4 minutes of game time running the point with Turk, and Reddick also handled the ball a lot.

Yikes, this current Magic team sucks. Still top 8 in 2/8 Four Factors (which is not good for the SVG Magic), but 8th in the east in SRS at a SVG era low of -1.4, and a margin of victory at a paltry .68, good for 7th in the East. Hollinger's rankings have us 8th in the East too.

Through 22 games the Magic are not contenders and are almost guaranteed first round outs. Either Howard has created a self-fulfilling prophesy or he has a very good feel the trending of the team.

The fact of this being an unorthodox season leaves the window open in my mind that the Magic can turn this around. One main area for improvement is in our personal usage. The starting lineup of Nelson/JRich/Hedo/Anderson/Howard is simply putrid, and worthy of a lottery team. It has logged by far the most minutes of any unit and it just sucks. Pisses me off suckage that makes me want to slap the hell out of SVG. It is crap on offense and pretty average on defense. Now, a simple fix presents itself. START JJ REDICK. It isn't rocket science. Our second most used lineup is Nelson/Redick/Hedo/Anderson/Howard. That lineup is championship level, both on offense and defense. Strikingly, our third most used lineup is Duhon/JRich/Hedo/Anderson/Howard, which is actually better on defense than either of our top two minute lineups, and it does muddy the waters a bit, but perhaps that is for the best, as really the NUMBER ONE reason why our team sucks right now is because of the suckage emanating from our starting backcourt, which both the #2 and #3 lineups highlight. A pox on both their houses, etc. But starting Redick over JRich should be a much easier sell than starting Duhon over Nelson.
