Looks like it took some work, good job.

On a semi-related note, I voted in the poll, and saw 106 people voted. What the heck? Why aren't these guys posting here? I had no idea 106 people went to realgm for hockey.

There are a lot more than that who read the articles, not sure why they don't come to the forums though.

I originally wanted a 64 player bracket but the editors wanted to keep the series in the same format as the previous NBA/NFL/MLB.

Also, this made me fear for the future of my Red Wings lol.

Wings actually have a very legitimate batch of prospects coming up. When the Tuzzi, Homer and Nick all bid adieu this summer, we will be (hopefully) giving a chance to guys like Brendan Smith, Tatar and Nyquist, all whom i really, really like. Our system is surprisingly deep, not necessarily with blue-chip guys but with solid players everywhere

I know it is easy to look at Detoit and see "old," but we have enough prospects that Ken Holland has recently talked about dealing first round picks

Have no fear my son, the young guys will be here soon. But yeah Jim Howard as a franchise cornerstone can seem slightly terrifying

I would have too, based on what he's shown this season.

As for the matchup (Price vs Seguin), I went with Seguin. I'm a big Price fan, and think he's a top tier goaltender...but Seguin is someone you can build a franchise around.

I am actually surprised by the wide margin Malkin built up over Giroux, I thought it would be a lot closer.
