Paul George in SI

Post#1 » by granger05 » Fri Feb 3, 2012 10:47 pm

I saw this article posted on the general board under a topic on Paul George, but it hasn't made its way here yet. Does anyone read Sports Illustrated anymore?

Ian Thomsen wants to see George in both the dunk contest and the 3 point shootout.

The point of inviting George to both contests in Orlando would be to recognize a rare young player who is trying to achieve stardom in all areas while playing a meaningful role on a winning team. In other words, if he were to win the Slam Dunk or three-point title, it wouldn't be the most important thing in his career. Isn't that how NBA careers ought to be built?

He can win both, although he might make dunks look too effortless and his stroke isn't the fastest, even though that also look effortless.
