His mid range game has been unbelievable this season... we're at a 22 game sample now with him shooting 50%+ from 16-23 feet (Dirk-like) and creating way more of his offense than usual. The fact that he's at 60%+ TS while getting to the line so much less says a lot. Starting to believe this is a legit evolution in his game and not a hot shooting streak...

It looks to me that he's actually going through a cold shooting streak right now. If he could get his 3pt% and ft% up to his career averages, his TS% would be insane.

I really wish he'd stop taking those ball stopping, long, contested three's. His 3pt% isn't indicative of how well he shoots from behind the arc.

Oh, and btw, he only missed 1 Ft tonight. 6-7, I think.

Also, not sure if anyone noticed, but after the first quarter Durant pretty much shut Gay out in the half court. Most of his points after the first quarter(11 points) were from transition or loose balls.

I only caught the second half but Durant was awesome on defense. Especially when he forced Gay baseline for the block.

Durant's season average from three .351 is at his career average .357. It's not like he's shooting 20% or anything

It'll drop after tonight's numbers are factored in. And 35% isn't acceptable to me when he could be shooting at or north of 40% if he limited the number of unnecessary and counter-productive three's he takes, and only took them in rhythm or in the flow of the offense.

Needs to shake his issues at the line as well. Seems mental at times.

50/40/90 is still possible.

Just saw the game. Our defense in the 4th quarter was sensational. It's obvious we have the ability to play great defense, it's just that we would rather outscore you. That mentality needs to change in the coming years, if it does I see a Championship on the horizon.

Despite all the turnovers the offense is still 3rd in the league so yeah, if the defense is consistently locked in the team will be winning titles.

Big problem is we're still in the bottom quarter of the league in DRB%, and, surprisingly enough, don't force many turnovers.
