It's ok, you're new (I hope). Harrison Barnes cares not for the 1st half, peasant!

That's hardly something I would like to hear about a prospect.

What's got me in tears is more than half your fanbase is begging for that 'dynamic' combo.

It's hilarious.... really.

It's hard to get that touch when you've got two defenders trying to block your shot in the air.

Really? We using excuses ike this now a days?

His brick touch has been part of him his entire college career.

MKG is so much better of a prospect over this guy that its not even close. MKG would shut down Barnes everyday of the week.

Aw brick touch, then only to come back having a hell of a game in 2nd half. Better than PJ3 playing like a girl in 2nd half, scared of "touching", acting like a submissive little girl watching his little midget teammate take over the game, I rather avoid a player who plays like a tin man, I mean tin girl

I see we missed the kindergarten class where we discussed humour. I'm joking, don't take life so seriously. But he thrives in the 2nd half, he steps up during winning time. You take whatever you want, I'll take the guy who wants the ball with the game on the line.

I saw Barnes missed like three lay-ups in heavy traffic with two defenders hacking him in the air. Got robbed of some calls. But I like the way Barnes is getting inside the paint today as he's doing a good job showing hesitation moves beating his defenders when they tried to shade the paint. Had a nice back down on his man at the left baseline for the turnaround dribble-drive.

How you gonna discount Barnes missing layups (even though there was contact) when one of his weaknesses is finishing in the paint through contact?

Seriously, his issues are three pronged:

*mediocrity first step
*almost no advance ball handling skills
*struggles to finish in the paint even in college

I mean, really, keep making excuses all you want bit this guy is hyped as a top 2 prospect by you guys. Gotta come better than that...

So let's get this straight Steely...

Perry Jones III: 14.7ppg 7.8rpg 0.8bpg: Go-to scorer, destined all-star and franchise changer

POWER FORWARDS (in the exact same position PJ3 plays)

Anthony Davis: 13.5ppg 10.2rpg 4.7bpg: substantially better at everything minus a single point per game which can easily be attributed to UK having much more scorers

Thomas Robinson: 17.2ppg 12.0rpg 1.2bpg: literally superior in EVERY facet of the game but with no rhyme or reason not at PJ's level

Jared Sullinger: 17.1ppg 9.1rpg 0.9bpg: better scorer and rebounder but also not at his level

SMALL FORWARDS:

Harrison Barnes: 17.3ppg 4.7rpg 0.4bpg: clearly better scorer, basically same shotblocking output but he's nba fodder

Micheal Gilchrist: 12.8ppg 7.7rpg 1.1bpg: rebounds @ same rate and slightly BETTER shot blocker at SMALL FORWARD

SHOOTING GUARD

Jeremy Lamb: 17.7ppg 4.4.rpg 0.8bpg: so he's projected to be a bad defender despite blocking the exact SAME amount of shot as PJ3 does at POWER forward not to mention he averages 1.5spg with ridiculously long arms...yeah he's doomed

I like PJ3 but hate hearing you rant on other player when PJ3 is far from the best of them.

For every 1 Harrison Barnes "issue", Perry Jones has at least 2. If you want, go spam the Cavs board with your trolling unless you're going to explain yourself. Don't come in here and make demands when you're not even a fan of our team.

I haven't seen much of Sullinger or Thomas Robinson but I would imagine PJ3 is faster than them and a better ball handler. He's talented enough to put up better numbers but hasn't hence the questions of effort.

This description fits him to the T and I'll be the first to admit, I've only had the opportunity to see him him play a handful of times but from what I can gather he's the opposite of what we want from a SF.

His ball handling and first step are on par with Demar, what I will say about him is he does have better lateral quickness and defensive instincts. I'm all for drafting the best player but drafting Barnes with Demar pegged as a core member of our team is a tad bit redundant.

Harrison Barnes hasn't looked sharp today. Just traveled for no reason really.

But, just hit a 3 to give UNC the lead.

Well said. There's some sort of energy missing in their game - they're not that far apart. Barnes is just in a real good situation. Lamb is also similar.

Harden was a smooth player but he WAS the team. He took the shots, he showed that intagible. That's the word. PJ3 and Barnes don't show the intangible that they may be great. Lamb neither, but that can change.

Lamb does take and make the late game shots, during the games he tends to sit on the weak-side and doesn't see much of the ball. He goes through long stretches without the ball. I honestly wonder if thats just a byproduct of being on a horrible team or his lack of aggressiveness.

You don't draft someone that fits with Demar. Demar is just one of our cores, so if you say you're all for drafting BPA, it doesn't matter if it fits with who or not, just like how we would draft Davis even if Bargs on the team.
