Its amazing what Mousasi has accomplished without the limited resources he has had at his disposal. He needs to get to the US and train with a top team ASAP.

Getting away from M-1 was the first step...

Too bad he didn't convince Fedor to leave with him.

Unless Mousasi moves to a legit camp and does MMA full time, he will waste away his potential.

He needs to go link up with the boys at AKA.

I often forget just how young Mousasi still is. He's 26 now, but it seems like he's been fighting at a pretty high level for a while already. When he kind of burst on the scene winning the Dream tournament, he was only 22-23. He had fights in Pride before that at 20-21.

I agree that he needs to start training MMA full time and with a legit camp, not just his brother or whatever it is he does now.

Jacare Souza vs. Derek Brunson has been added to the card. Brunson is undefeated and has 3 straight wins under SF but don't know enough about him to figure out what he can do against Souza. I'm going to assume Souza just outgrapples him and pulls out a win.

Too much, too soon. Clearly the Strikeforce match makers have learned nothing from the last Strikeforce card where a bunch of their top prospects were put into the deep water too early. I guess that is what you have to do when your org is not deep enough to keep making quality matches.

By sf matchmakers you are referring to Sean Shelby, fyi.

Just shut down sf already.

I agree. This is just ridiculous man. Just because there are no more challengers shows it doesn't mean you should throw your prospects to the wolves like that. Hell. Scott Smith is fighting Lyumba Sayers (or something like that) on the same card. Why not have Brunson fight Smith. He'll be a more sensible step up for Brunson.

Any org that is so free of conscience they can put Scott Smith back into the cage, I wish their demise.
Hi love, bye love, I will miss my love.

Derek Brunson is a raw prospect. fighting Jacare would be like making Phil Davis' first UFC fight against Lil Nog or Rampage to a degree. at least it seems that way. maybe Brunson is that good (i saw him fight in chicago but i don't remember any specifics), but you don't throw a new guy to the wolves. you give him a reasonable opponent, one who's talents and skills are similar.

They did the same thing to Lorenz Larkin and Jordan Mien last card. Lack of depth forces you to ruin your prospects.

Well I wouldn't go so far as to say that about Jordan Mien. He had already fought Rory McDonald, Evangelista Santos, Marius Zamaroskis, Jason High and Joe Riggs b4 he fought Woodley. But they definately let guys like Lorenz Larkin and Roger Gracie jump waaaaaaaaaaay higher than they were ready for.
