He isn't injury prone. Almost never misses games.

hm... this year he missed some games due to unknown reasons. It was just weird.

As to being injury prone, last year (against Juventus Utena) and this year (forgot who they were playing against) he had 2 scary moments with his ankle. Screaming, rolling on the floor etc. He missed Iike more than a month or so last year, nothing too serious this year. For me he is the type of the player that play dangerous offence... (can't really explain very well what I mean). he just reminds me a lot of Javtokas in intensity, self-sacrifice, and Javtokas is not doing very well with avoiding injuries.

Its not injury prone you described. And he never really injured his ankle, it was temporary acute pain caused by a bad contact. I mean he has no red flags, his ankles, knees and everything are perfectly fine... Never had serious injuries, surgeries and he barely misses any games.

Every athlete suffers minor injuries, Jonas is no different, yes, he missed some game, it was very few games and most of those game were domestic ones, so we can assume Jonas was actually able to play if thats really needed, but he was just saved.
He missed like 5 days because of injury this season, I remember that, but I can assure, it does not affect his daily life whatsoever, he was actually fine (by non pro athlete standards).

Y'know, except for the euroleague ad placement, I kind of like those Rytas red and black jerseys.

Maybe we should be like Yao-era Houston with the Chinese-inspired jerseys, and have the Raptors wear something like that when Val comes over

He's actually a lot like Amir, or at least the good Amir who goes straight to the hoop on the P & R. He's got great hands, and makes himself a great passing target in the post.

Some of the moves he does aren't strong enough to use in the NBA (e.g., he's got to go up with two hands, not one), but he seems to have good footwork and a few post moves. He's also not afraid to throw this body around in the post, which is awesome. Thanks for posting!

Seemed like the #15 guy was the leading scorer from that game based on that highlight video.

Jonas really coming into his own athletically. even his shotblocking technique is starting to look decent.

Regarding whether Jonas can get his offensive game off in the NBA, he will have bigger players bodying him up and challenging his shots but he does such a good job keeping the ball high and protected and shooting with a flick of the wrist (ala Tim Duncan). very difficult to challenge his shot around the basket.

I can't remember any serious injury since i started following 3 years ago, not even a severe ankle sprain or something like that.
If you want to try to measure the elements of basketball that are supposedly unmeasurable, spend a game just watching Marc Gasol.

And that's something a guy like Bynum didn't do consistently until 2 or 3 years ago for instance. when you watch him paly you can see he's fundamentally sound, only lacking some additional strenght to be able to impose himself in the post but that will come.

Hold your horses. Jazz fans expects Kanter to be new Malone, Raps board calls VAL the white TD... You guys are loosing it... Lets wait till Jonas grows into Gortat's shoes first.
