Re: Wizards vs Clippers 7 pm
To everyone who wants Wall to be cutting more off the ball... none of our guards do that. Most of our plays have one person in motion at a time. We run a vanilla offense that opposing coaches must laugh at when they're scouting us.
That's not going to get better until we have a full off-season with a good coach.

One problem is Wall seems to be trying to get everyone involved more and can't find that right balance between looking to score and looking to pass. The second bigger problem is this team's starting 5 has 3 players incapable of consistently scoring. Yet they all want their touches and all think that they can be 20 pt guys. This team would be so much better if the players just had the ability to be self aware of who they are as basketball player.

The first step would be accepting that they suck arse as basketball players.

You're right....McGee needs to realize he needs to focus on being what Tyson Chandler and DeAndre Jordan are, not Dwight Howard
Nick Young needs to learn that he can't be Agent Zero because Gilbert could shot from outside or blow by his defender. Nick is a one dimensional scorer. PERIOD
Rashard Lewis needs to realize he's no longer Rashard Lewis.
Once they get this...we can become a better team

The only player on this team that I actually like is Trevor Booker. When this team is blown up, he's the only one I'll be sad to see go.

I would like booker too if he had the game of carl laundry.
Or get laundry

Build your team w/5 shooters using P. Pierce Form deeply bent hips and lower back arch at same time b4 rising into shot. Elbow never pointing to the ground! Good teams have an engine player that shoot volume (2000 full season) at 50 percent.Large Hands

Re: Wizards vs Clippers 7 pm
Booker is a solid player, but even he played like garbage last night.
If I was blowing up the team, I'd keep Wall, Booker, and contemplate Sera, Singleton, and Ves b/c they're young.
McGee is the biggest ? on the team, but we already knew that.
Blatche, NY, Lewis, and Crawford have to go. They're not winner, and they never will be.

I think people are overrating the performance. 1st off McGee has been crap in the last few games anyways. Jordan is on a great team now which breeds more success. Still, we cant make 1 game the answer to everything. Up until a week or 2 most fans on even the general boards felt that McGee was better. Lets not overreact. We just suck right now, period. Ive seen McGee own some bigs who were way better than Jordan.

+1 I still think Jordan is overrated and that McGee is more talented, but I'm starting to wonder if McGee will ever have a significant impact in the starting lineup for a championship team. I'll definitely reserve judgement, but I'm starting to have mu doubts.

Honestly, I'd bench McGee and start Seraphin. At least he's not a complete girl on the court. At least he'll set screens and not throw up idiotic shots. At least he can competently defend a screen & roll.

I would start Kevin at C and play Javale at PF and run no plays for Javale. He would be told to try to rebound Kevin's misses and dunk them. I would feed the post a bunch with Seraphin inside, because the other team's PF would be covering him. Javale would take opposing Cs away from the basket. When they stop covering McGee is when he gets a running start for a monster dunk. I would also be absolutely FINE with McGee taking face up jumpers. His form is sometimes fine sometimes tragic, but he can miss no worse than the Wizard guards or Jan Vesely.
The Wizards should play McGee with Seraphin. Flip did do it for a very short while once and it worked.
Booker would replace the less effective of the two. Jan Vesely would be my SF.

Re: Wizards vs Clippers 7 pm
tired of seeing less than top tier Cs abuse JM
Off the top of my head he's been dominated by Hawes,
Dalembert and now Jordan. Each of them was allowed
to appear like HOF players when they're going up against JM.
And they're not even AS. SMH.
But he's not our only problem. We continue to be
unable to run offense to generate open looks.
We can't make open looks that we do get.
We can't rebound other team's misses.
An extraordinary formula for failure.
Booker deserved to start but most of the way
through the game he had ~ 4 points. Not good
enough. Vesely can score at that rate and that's
not good.
