This is just my opinion but, I would cut Deandre Liggins. I would use the roster space on signing Kyrlo Fesenko.

this. And how about Stan letting the defensive specialist on the court for some defense. Keep Q-Rich on the bench

Since when did Liggins become a defensive specialist in the NBA? He hasn't even played a game in the NBA, which btw is a whole different discussion.

We might not ever know. Stan contends that he knows how these guys play, in practice, and thus doesn't need to see them in a game to know how good or bad they are.

well. Bosh is definitely not the one to call people out about this.

True in a sense but to be fair from what i remember Bosh pretty much kept his mouth shut until he was a legit free agent....he didn't let his impending free agent status hang over the team while he was still under contract...Far cry from what Dwight is doing now

i don't remember it that way. i remember bosh tanking which kept toronto out of the playoffs after the all star break, during which he was recruited by wade. he did not dress up games after being cleared citing discomfort and pain and when he did, he was "injured" again. he sat out a critical stretch with broken nose.

i dont know, probably speculation. but i do remember reports surfacing during the all-star week that bosh was being recruited. i think toronto was 2-3 games behind of magic at 5th seed before the all-star break.

one thing is for sure, he gave the impression that he would stay in toronto until the very end. then he changed his tune to "i dont know, i want to put myself into a situation i want to win", which put their front office in a very difficult position. at least dwight was more upfront.

"Aaron Gordon will cost Henny's job by Dec 2016." Predicted Dec 2014.

"O'Quinn will have a longer and more successful NBA career than Nicholson." Predicted Jun 2012. Verified on Dec 2014.

SolidSnake008 wrote:The way Dwight is handling all this imo can be attributed to his agent...I think Dwight is just following orders from his Agent/Pr on what to say and when to say it....I mean all he could of done is just make a trade request and then from there keep his mouth shut until you cross that bridge.....But it seems like every other week Dwight says something just to keep the trade talks going....

i think all this has his Agent written all over it because think about it.....If Dwight was as conscious of his image was we're led to believe then he wouldn't handle it the way he has been because he's losing respect not only from players and fans but the media as well.......I may be wrong but if this is the case i don't understand how Dwight can let his agent lead him down this path in this way....Dwight is doing/saying things that doesn't match his character...i'm sensing a lot of cloak and dagger stuff going on here

Oh I'm sure his agent has something to do with this....

But Dwight is 26 and has been in the league 8 years, he should know better.

This should have never left Orlando's media day. That was the day to get it out, answer the questions, and lock it all away till something happened. When asked, he just needs to respond, "No comment."

That said, there is immense media scrutiny over Dwight and Orlando because of this trade, so a lot of things that would normally go unreported are being spread around the internet like wildfire. People are talk to people who know people and rumors fly fast. I'm not sure how much of that is Dwight or Fegan's problem, I think that assumes they have control over a lot of "sources" which I don't think they do. A lot of these "sources" are acting in their own interest to hype themselves.

Do you really think Fegan told Dwight to leak to Rudolph or some other guy some stuff about a phone conversation with Kobe in order to force the Magic to trade him to NJ? I guess Fegan's motivation is max money and making his player happy.

Just saw this come across the wire. Magic decided between Ish Smith and Earl Boykins to replace Jameer during injury.

The Magic discussed signing former Cav Earl Boykins before opting to go with rookie Ish Smith from the D-League to fill in for the injured Jameer Nelson. Boykins, a former Cleveland Central Catholic star, is currently considered the No. 2 unsigned free-agent point guard, behind Gilbert Arenas, after he averaged 7.2 points and 2.5 assists in 57 games as a backup with the Milwaukee Bucks last season. Cleveland Plain Dealer

every draft guru had Liggins as a someone that can defend PG-SG-SF. He isnt an all out offensive threat, but a very good defender. Hence my statement of Stan letting him get some run against NBA players. Unless you believe that Q-Rich is some great defender.

This is just my opinion but, this would make the most financial sense for Howard.

1. Opt in for the 2012-2013 season, meaning he would get $19,536,360 in salary for the season.

2. In 2013 resign for a max salary with either Orlando or whatever team he is traded to.

3. Get the big Adidas contract, I think Adidas will pay regardless of whatever team he is on. Adidas only has Rose and Howard as marquee players and I assume they won`t budget on resigning Howard.

unfortunately, our Front office hasnt shown much foresight and planning to consider this.

granted, after next year, they were set to unload a lot of contracts and have space, but Dwight didnt want to wait, and now with BBD and J-Rich's contracts, that has hurt.

I'm not saying QRich is a great defender. That's not what im debating. I'm saying that you're getting ahead of yourself by calling Liggins a defensive specialist. I'm aware of what draft experts said, but that was in college. Let him prove himself in the NBA before calling him a specialist. Now giving Liggins an opportunity to play is a whole different argument.
