JR Smith?

Post#1 » by JaVier Mastro » Sat Feb 4, 2012 4:52 pm

Anyone at all? We need bench scoring, he provides that and range out of this world. 12.3 ppg 4.1 rpg 2.2 apg 1.2 spg in 25 minutes off the bench also 43.5% fg 39.0% from 3. The scoring and range he would provide would open up the paint. Smith played with Anthony and Iverson/Billups, I want to see wht he can do nest to Bynum, Gasol and Bryant. I also would like to see Goudelock/Smith/Bryant/Gasol/Bynum end a game.

Goudelock/Smith/Barnes/Murphy/Bynum would be nice as well, Smith's range would stop Bynum from being doubled when playing with the second unit. I think overall this would be a win-win for the Lakers.

We remember the big shots Smith hit against us, but then guys of his skill set always hit big shots against us...

What we don't see... And what fans of the teams he's been on do see, is the long stretches where he can't find the rim with GPS...
It's also why nobody's really that upset to see him go... Along with his knuckle-headedness...

I'd love an athletic quick shooter... I just have a feeling Smith will leave us disappointed...

I understand where your coming from, but playing with Bryant should play in our favor right? Smith is a gifted player maybe Bryant can tap into that and get him on the right page.....then again who knows

So are we still going to get Dwight even though he said he will NOT sign an extension with us? If that's the case Mitch is an idiot. The dude is just wasting Odom's TPE and all these players are going somewhere else. I personally hope we try to snag Wilson Chandler and Aaron Brooks. Our team will then have a legit bench mob.

hopefully we do pick him up, not only can he light it up from the field but he can attack the basket, something we desperately need. the only question is how will he mesh with the other guys, im down to gamble if its not costing us ****

Lakers aren't going to pick anyone up. No free agents, no trades. No dwight.

Fine with me, I'd take J.R. for sure. Keeps L.A.'s first rounders.

As it stands Howard isn't needed here, Bynum fits in nice here plus he know all the players on the team. Smith on the other hand address a few needs bench scoring, range and the dude can get to the rim and finish. Our second unit could be fun to watch Blake/Smith/Barnes/Murphy/Bynum its and Orlando looking team. I think he would be a nice fit after that all we would need to do is either trade for Sessions or bring in Arenas

SF:Artest/Barnes
PF:Gasol/Murphy
C:Bynum/McRoberts
SG:Bryant/Smith/Goudelock
PG:Arenas or Sessions/Fisher/Blake

Walton
Ebanks
Morris

I like him. I think he has some sort of "superstar" gen in his blood, can hit important shoot & takeover the game, inconsistent & dumb though.

Can we bring him in with part of the TPE? if so how much and for how long? While we're at it I say lets go for Sessions.

Least*

JR Smith will go to the younger, more athletic, and apparently the currently better LA team right now - the Clips.

Yo Scan...I'm with you on this bruh, it's so damn obvious management has gone on the cheap again. And knowing Kobe has a contract no team in their right mind would take, there is no pressure on the Buss clan to appease Kobe this time.

The rest of y'all better wise up to me and Scans level of thinking, that way the pain will be easier to swallow when things you want to happen don't happen.

In a way, we will only be leasing him. We can't afford him long term.

We cant keep letting all of these free agent sign with other teams in the West! I mean, its bad enough we gotta play against the refs like in our last game, but we gotta deal with good free agents signing with other teams in our division/conference!
