DFB POKAL DRAW
Hoffenheim - Fürth
Berlin - Gladbach (LOL Lucien Favre vs the team which sacked him)
Stuttgart - Bayern
Kiel - Dortmund

DFB POKAL DRAW (women)
FFC Frankfurt - FCR Duisburg
Bayern - Hamburg

Comment: duh, Kiel should play that game in the Bremen Weserstadium. The 10k stadium in Kiel will never fit the demand :D With our women, the REAL final is FFC-FCR, the Bayern-HSV match will probably determine the Cup Final loser.

Sadly, I knew Kiel was going to beat us. We always struggle against lower league teams. They aren't even a 3rd league team. 4th league team.

The DFB has opened investigation on Jermaine Jones (Schalke) for deliberately stepping on the injured foot of Gladbach star Marco Reus. He apparently tried to re-break the freshly healed toe of Reus.

Comment: Jones does what he does best, being a fake tough guy

If Jones would just focus on playing soccer instead of letting his mind always collapse he would've had a much better career.

He always was an aggressive play, but that was exaggerated.

Marco Reus signs with BVB - 5 yr contract, 17m transfer fee.

Transfer makes sense for all. BVB always needs speedy wingers, Gladbach gets handsomely paid and Reus takes yet another step up.

BTW, After Großkreutz and Reus, BVB only has to sign Naki, and then the old boys reunion of *drumroll* Rot-Weiss Ahlen is complete :D

Transfer makes sense for all if Reus can actually stay healthy.
It seems like every week he has a new health issue. Especially if there's a national team game ahead.

Where's that talk about Reus being injury prone coming from?

He's missed a grand total of five games during 2 1/2 years with Gladbach, which certainly does not qualify him as injury prone or anything close to it.

Probably because he was so often unavailable to debut for the national team.
So far he hasn't had a big injury but he had some minor ones that didn't cause him to miss many games.
Broken toe, rupture of a muscle fiber and so on.
More games = more injury risk, especially for a very good wing player (who usually get fouled a lot).

2-0! :o Gladbach is simply CLINICAL. Give nothing away on D, use your two chances on O.

Edit: half time, Bayern has the majority of ball possession, but never seems dangerous. If they want to get a draw, they have to REALLY step up.

15 min into the second half, and Bayern yet has to become dangerous. Gladbach's D is superb, Bayern is simply not able to penetrate.

3-1 Schweinsteiger, 15 min left. A goal for the stats or for the draw?

Gladbach beats Bayern 3-1. Often, the team which makes no mistakes owns the team which does - today was no different. LOL at Neuer's gaffe, his giveaway to Reus was a practically an own goal.

I'm just enyoing that year, after years of hopping between the first and second Bundesliga.

We only need 4 more points to reach the 40 point mark. :D

Several big teams suffer big time injuries.

Munich - van Buyten breaks his foot, 6-8 weeks out
Dortmund - Götze's hip bone is infected, 6-8 weeks out
Bremen - Prödl suffers broken facial bones, 2 months out

:(

Longtime Schalke manager Rudi Assauer has revealed that he is suffering of Alzheimers disease - and that he can "physically feel getting dumber".

Terrible news, I hope his family and him can stay strong :(

BVB takes the lead after yet another win, whereas Bayern and Schalke only get disappointing draws. My Lauterer loses 0-1 vs Cologne, firmly cementing them at the bottom. :(
