I am wondering what is the minimum jerry sloan would take to come to the wizards.
Having sloan come in here with his expertise and proven playoff system...it's priceless but how much could leonsis offer to make it worth Jerry's time? I would sale Sloan on the idea of just two season at 10 million a year.

Build your team w/5 shooters using P. Pierce Form deeply bent hips and lower back arch at same time b4 rising into shot. Elbow never pointing to the ground! Good teams have an engine player that shoot volume (2000 full season) at 50 percent.Large Hands

No.
Wizards need to find the NEXT Jerry Sloan. Not the 70-year old guy who left Utah because he was sick of dealing with Deron Williams' bull.

Nope...you let jerry sloan find the next jerry sloan. If he is 70, he won't be here long but he will leave invaluable pieces and its a good chance one of the pieces he leaves will be the next jerry sloan.
I don't trust the wizards or any of their fans with the ability to pick the next Sloan so i would rather leave to sloan because 70 means he only has a few years left but no HOF coach wants to leave what he started to poor hands aka saunders.

this is a bad idea for both sloan and the wizards. less so for sloan because he'll be $20 million richer, but still a bad idea.

Agree 100% with this.
No big name retreads. Get a young guy with upside who can grow with the team, like the Bulls and Thunder have with Thibs and Brooks.
Eric Maynor is the worst basketball player I've ever seen.

Popovich Pleased With Leonard’s Defense On Durant
Feb 05, 2012 7:04 PM EST
Kawhi Leonard held Kevin Durant to 22 points on 19 shots in a 107-96 win for the Spurs over the Thunder on Saturday night.
“He did the best he could for a young rookie who has never really seen these guys before and really hasn’t practiced any of the defensive strategies we might use,” Gregg Popovich said.
Popovich has repeatedly compared Leonard to Bruce Bowen.
“It starts with his body,” Popovich said. ” He has good size and he’s really long. He’s got huge hands and quick feet and he has a propensity to play defense and he likes the role, kind of like Bruce did. But he’s a lot bigger than Bruce ever was.
“We have to get him as smart as Bruce, but we can only do that through experience and playing.”
Popovich also has been impressed by Leonard’s tenacity.
“Those physical aspects are great and intrinsically, you have a gift for it. He likes to do it,” Popovich said. “And he’s aggressive and not afraid to stick his nose in it. Failure doesn’t bother him. You score on him he doesn’t sulk and say gee coach, this and that. He goes back and tries to do it better.”

this is the type of guidance that Jerry Sloan disciple or greg popovich disciple provides for raw talent. Not...i told them they were "playing like space jam".
Hopefully Leonsis studies in depth the lives of Sloan and Popovich and brings in as close to identical coach as possible to one of these two.
This is the wisdom that is lacking in both the wizards front office, wizard fan base, and temporary coaches. Gambling on a young coach who currently isn't part of world class organization that nearly reaches the playoffs every year regardless of the players for the last twenty years is the coach the wizards need. we need an longterm assistant or Popovich or Sloan. Pop is very happy and we have chance to rent sloan for the right price and business leadership from leonsis. But wizards fans have no clue who the next pop or sloan is and neither does management because we lack the ideas that are present from what pOP JUST SAID in the article i just linked.

a coach with a trusted vision and role of how player fits into a championship contender...before that player even knows it. A Trusted Vision is what sloan and pop provide. Not your dleague coach.

This.
--Coaching the Wizards might literally kill Jerry Sloan. Sorry to be so morbid, but it is the way I feel about this current mix of players. A great man shouldn't go out like that.
--I remember MJ trying to play for Washington. That didn't work out so well.
--Flip's coaching legacy took a major hit on this pit stop.
I agree with Nivek, 100%. Find the next Jerry Sloan. Or Chuck Daly, Phil Jackson, Rick Adelman, George Karl, etc
That guy is David Joerger.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.
