Elie at a 1990 preseason gm w/ LA (in Honolulu, hence the lei around his neck). This is the only evidence I've ever seen that he was w/ the team, even if he was there long enough for a coffee and donut.

that makes sense, it's just ridiculous how much Allen and Perkins resemble Avon and Stringer in that picture though.

would not have been great for the Nets, Pacers, Spurs or Nuggets who are all only in the NBA to get Dr J into the league.

Actually, it was because it was Magics Last All Star game.

He did play that season but got voted in. the Players were paying homage to him.

But it was reported that they were lost.

Paul Pierce takes the podium around 9:22. It's hard to match the non-colored original photo against what's in the Youtube video, but:

- Rondo is wearing a lighter suit.
- Allen is wearing a polka dot tie that at least looks the same.

So that would be my best guess where the photo is from. As to why it looks so old, someone could have just run some Photoshop filters through it, to make it look older.
