Adrian Wojo tweet just a minute ago:
With fear Chauncey Billups badly damaged left Achilles, source close to him tells Y!: "Doesn't look good. MRI tomorrow. I'm sick for him."

Sounds like he's done, we need JR badly now. If this is true this could be it for Billups' career :(

Get well soon Mr. Bigshot

MAJOR minutes for Mo now. Hope he continues to deliver like in the absence of CP3.

Well, if he's ruptured his Achilles, then he's likely out for at least a year. He'll be 36 in September. If his Achilles is ruptured, then he's probably played his last game :(

This is so sad. He really embraced his role here well and has been so helpful for the team. He was probably part of the reason K-Mart came here even. He's done some good stuff in his short time around.

Randy Foye will be starting until any move his made, which means Mo Williams minutes just jumped up for about 30-32 MPG.

it looked immediately after the first replay that chauncey snapped his achilles. he will most likely be out for the year and possibly never suit up for us, or anyone else for that matter. but chancey may still be an asset for this team as a "special coach" on the bench and mentor our young guards. this injury also prompts to believe that we will be going hard for JR and JR would want to be here now that a starter position has opened up for him. until then i would like Mo to stay as the 6th man but with starter minutes and foye to start with bench minutes. we lose offense, but we gain some size and defense for the starting unit.

and as for the Heat troll, chauncey's career maybe over, but he has been more than handsomely paid for his services in NBA. it is not like some 18 year old marine just got his legs blown up. stop trying to stir the pot and be gone.

Shame to see a career possibly end like this.

From a roster standpoint, how does this work if he is done? Do we buy him out and give him an assistant job so we can keep him on the bench and provide assistance with his rehab.

whether I did or not, you have no idea. Life goes on, and basketball still needs to be played. But at least say something about billups' career, before MOVING ON

What a bummer. :(

Now we need to either sign Smith(there's a starting spot open) or try use our trade exceptions for a guy that can step in and start.

Get well soon Chauncey.

First of all you are generalizing an entire fanbase due to one comment you didn't like. Everyone here is disappointed, sad, upset and feeling bad about Chauncey. You can read that in the game thread, here, twitter and so on. Also, we robbed him, but the Heat were only going to pay him the minimum?

You want to talk about paying respect, yet you did very little of that in this thread by attacking people you don't even know.

Chauncey Billups injures Achilles

He'll be re-evaluated in Tuesday morning. The Clippers had no further updates Monday night.

"It's kind of bittersweet," Clippers coach Vinny Del Negro said of his team's 107-102 win over the Magic. "I'm sick about it. I'm sick for him. I'm sick for us, but mostly for him and how much he means to us. Hopefully we'll get some good news tomorrow."

Chris Paul, clearly upset after the game, said Billups means "everything" to the Clippers and didn't want to speak too much before receiving solid news about Billups' injury.

"He's the best guard I've ever started with in the backcourt since I've been in the NBA," Paul said. "I trust him with anything, and that's not just on the court. We need him, no question."

When asked if a Billups' injury would affect the Clippers' strategy, Paul answered, "What you think? Yeah, it ain't no secret. We're going to play and hopefully it's not that bad."

Billups wasn't in the locker room after the game.

Still having some faint hope this isn't as bad as it sounds.
