Glad to see a player escape and thrive...so many get ruined from a time on the Warriors train to nowhere.

wanna bet?

The Knicks were losing WITH Melo+Amare ( major $) and just won without them because of Lin.

D'Antoni compared Lin to Secretariat...who was faster...but..could not shoot the J......whatever...Lin made a big impression and proved yet again that GSW has a problem with mismanagement. How's C Jenkins doing?

Nothing but the best wishes for Jeremy, a bay area native and life long warriors fan.
He wouldn't have gotten the minutes here, and MD gives him free reign in offense most of the time, so it's a very pg friendly system. Hope he keeps up his effort, but of course his two game avg of 27ppg 8 assists 4 boards 2 steals 55+% shooting is not realistic to sustain. Especially when Melo and STAT are back.
Just attack, look for teammates, be calm, pick his spots, and he'll be fine.

I have to LOL at the knicks board for one thing though.
Some of them still think Baron is their savior (not that LIN is either) The man is done, and has been for a little while.

Knicks fan here. If you had to watch Toney Douglas play 30 minutes a night even a steaming pile of crap is considered an upgrade. It's not just Knicks fans being irrational.

He comes off as a hard worker and a student of the game so I'm really happy to watch him go from undraftee to his great performance of late. I'm really feelin his game after watching the Knicks/Jazz. It's refreshing to watch clean point guard play. He drove the open lanes and didn't force contested jumpers.. pretty much just took what the defense was giving. He started racking up the to's but I attribute half of them to fatigue. His handles aren't exactly string to the ball, but at least he wasn't bs'ing with the passes like curry/monta do.

Can anyone explain to me how lin with chandler/jeffries make the pick and roll look so simple yet the warriors never get anything out of the most go-to play in the book.

I think Jackson would have used him if we hadn't had to clear him out to make the DeAndre Jordan bid. Lin would have had Ish's spot, and if he had success when Curry went down then Nate would have never been picked up. He could have, conceivably, locked up the #3 guard slot in the rotation.

But in NY he may end up being the #1 guard. It will be funny to watch if they make the playoffs and Baron is his backup.

Btw, _protege_, you might want to get your facts straight before trolling the Warriors board. It's Lacob and Riley who gave Lin a chance, and then it's Lacob and Riley again who cut him to make an offer to Jordan. Keith Smart had nothing to do with it and Smart did not hinder Lin.

I'm sold. I tuned in to both Knicks games. I don't really care that he scored 25 and 28. Many guys can get hot and stroke it. Almost all his points came from driving the lane. He had like 5 or 6 and-1s so he's stronger than we suspected. Loved the way he commanded the ball and ran the team. Impressive defense and great floor vision. He had no problems waving at Melo or Shumpert to pass him the ball or to get the **** out of the way. The team is clearly behind him. He handled the ball pretty much on every possession tonight. Very happy for the kid and happy for Knicks fans. I think they suffered even more than we did this year.

Could have had 15 assists tonight if the Knicks scrubs didn't blow a bunch of layups. They're clearly not used to getting passes

I think almost everyone is happy for Jeremy Lin. So no, not mad. Sorry you didn't get the reaction you were hoping for.

Tell me about it. Especially when we already had Lee, who was great at finishing the PnR for New York himself. I don't remember us running many pick and rolls in the few minutes Lin was on with Lee last year either.

If I remember correctly, Keith Smart was reluctant to play Jeremy Lin to begin with.. He rather use his trusty Acie Law instead of Jeremy.. Jeremy got sent down to D-League 3 times and he did great in D-League as well, but still no playtime. Finally towards end of the season, Jeremy got more playing time and showcase his talents because Acie Law was injured so Keith Smart had to play Jeremy. Also I remember Keith Smart said something about Jeremy Lin is not NBA ready or fit to play in NBA. How is that NOT hinder him? :o

This represents so many dumb moves the Warriors make. Lacob must be burning. Hopefully this leads to Riley getting fired.

Well, Lin is the Knicks best Guard All they needed was any kind of decent Guard play really.

The Joe Lacob Administration got Jerry West but failed to get a big man.

However, releasing a local kid who may end up being better than any PG they have could be their biggest downfall.
